I walked past JJB today and saw BIG signs sayin Upto 95% Off Sale .. so i went in to look at some trainers i like .. for the last few months the trainers have been £24.99 .. when i got to the trainers they had gone upto £39.99 then reduced to £24.99 ... so i thought i would look at the bikes as i got my daughter one from there a month ago for christmas and i paid £99.99 for it .. but today it had gone upto £199.99 reduced to £99.99 in this BIG so called sale ....

It's a con, what do you expect from a company partly owned by David Murray

at this time of the year the majority of stores always add on to their prices to take back off again :x

I am under the impression that the rules on how long goods have had to be at previous price have or are going to change, meaning companies can get away with a lot more in this respect now, or soon!
Not expert on this, does anyone know much about this?

UP TO 95% off. This means they only need to have one item at 90% off and they can advertise their sale in such an eye catching manner
#19
Does it really matter?
Go in, take a look and if you see something you are willing to pay the price then buy it!
I got tops for a pound each - reduced from £10. That's good enough for me!

Just to revive this old thread, JJB are at it again.

I was looking at some training wear before Christmas and decided to wait until the January sales.... lo and behold it's the same story! Items are the same price, except they put price stickers on the labels with higher prices on which they cross out to make the item look cheaper!

The items I was looking at are 'reduced' to the same price as before the '50% Sale' and browsing through items I know then general price of, for example football boots, they seem to have done it with all their sale goods. Huge con! No idea how they can get away with it, and I wonder how many people are duped by it!
