This is 5.00 in howells and a deli in cardiff, not seen this in UK shopping markets, and cant see on tesco or asda ect..

This is the original version, and it says they invented Hot chicken wings, and also a sticker on the back saying imported from USA.

This is what they are selling, and its nice: http://www.americansweets.co.uk/american-franks-red-hot-sauce-12oz-bottle-639-p.asp

Got 2 bottles while I was picking up my 3 pizzas that are 2.79 at co-op as well, Cardiff- Danes courts

Buy cheap asda value chicken wings in a big tub there is about 20 or 30, then coat with flour and dust off, then deep fry until crispy, then dash this over until its covered and enjoy.

Seriously good. Not had this since I left canada, couldnt beleive I seen it, thought uk was making it, but it says on the back, made in New Jersey, imported by UK distributor

£1.00 in Tesco until 03/04, and £1.49 in Sainsbury's for 148ml size.

I asked for the gallon size for my birthday but didn't get it. It's not very hot but it's bloody lovely. That gallon size I've seen for $9.99 on American sites - so annoying even if it was an American gallon it's still dirt cheap there.

That's for the 148ml bottle - can't get your link to work, but if it's the US 12oz bottle then that's 354ml so would make it better deal than Tesco/Sainsbury's

Good find, anything hot sauce or chili related always gets my attention.

Amazing with chicken wings

I've bought this from the local Tesco at silverburn before for around a pound. Yes it was the US version, it was situated on the foreigner aisle though.
#11
Is everything getting imported from American now?

This has been in Sainsburys for ages at this price. Get it all the time, absolutely fantastic
#13
Been in Sainsburys for ages at this price *so not a very special deal), and also not really very nice I don't think
#14
Big buffalo wing fan here! But tesco & sainsburys both sell this.
Buffalo Wild Wings Blazing sauce is hotter than mad hot
#15
I have had this but it is nothing special, made from Cayennes etc.

Not so much on the heat stakes but make a change from the very vinegary Encona.

I make my own hot sauce from my own chillies, looking forward to tasting my Infinity's later in the year!.

Dont TGI's use this on their hotwings...
#17
This stuff is the best hot sauce ever !! im getting stocked up tonight.
#18
Nice flavour, mild heat, so heat added :D

Does anybody know how it compares with Cholula?

http://cholula.com/products/original_hot_sauce.php

I like things with a bit of a kick but not so hot that it makes you cry! Cholula does the job nicely in this respect.

Purchased in tesco many times... yes it is lovely!
This is therefore not not for me.

New Jersey is the last place I would make anything because the taxes are so high. Maybe they get around it by exporting because I have never seen this brand in a NJ grocery store.

Yes, this is the sauce used in TGI's. Its yummy, and available in Tescos
#23
Tesco has it, and just to confirm this is the best hot sauce money can buy, i chuck it in everything!

Not really a fan of this, for being called "Red Hot" it's really not all that when it comes to heat. Try some of the Dave's Insanity range (available in Asda), now that's a HOT sauce! As far as supermarkets go, anyway...

The last pan of chilli that I made I threw three of these things in:

This chart should help you decide. By the looks of it, this sauce is quite mild.

It's £1.49 in my local Sainsbury's so I think this is hardly a deal

Feck me 3 Bhut Jolokia!, mine haven't germinated but I have loads of 7 pot/pod, Naga's, Infinty and the usual habs in the grow box!

Helpful chart!

From the chart Cholula is rated at 3600 and Frank's at a mere 450! Dave's insanity is at 180,000 and the Bhut Jolokia is at 1,000,000!
