They're selling on ebay for 3.99 plus postage... what a great deal! Thanks :)

I think there are a few more devices that won't work with this due to needing more than normal amounts of power.

Good price though.

They have tons of these in poundland and they have been selling them for a year or 2! Not really a bargain.

Sorry to burst your bubble

Some of us have towns which are so cr*p we don't even have a Poundland. Seems a good price to me to have one delivered to your door.

That's a bit of an oxymoron. I find that Poundlands only exist in '**** towns'. They can't survive in nice places. Prime example: I live on the edge of Blackpool, and pretty much every shop is '£1 or less' :P

I expect the Blackberry is another device that wont work - as it needs software drivers installed on a PC to even charge or else it complains and doesnt charge. Dont ask me why - but it just does....
(Vista seems to have these drivers preinstalled).

Not my experience. In fact just tried my Pearl via USB with my new Medion Akoya Mini netbook. (XP) and its charging just fine (I certainly have no specific drivers on).

However, universal in car USB chargers these dont generally work for the BB. As I said earlier I have tried them before.

I do have a genuine RIM in car charger for the BB and that works just fine - no drivers involved there of course!

Agree the BB doesnt need drivers to charge. I've had three and they have all needed a high power usb charger. The best I've achieved with a cheap one like this is charging when the BB is off, i.e. the load is less

If only car manufacturers would start fitting USB charging sockets as standard in their cars. A nice row of 4 USB sockets in the dash would mean you could power your sat nav, phone and MP3 player without resorting to cigar lighter adapters.
