Description: This is seriously weird but in a good way! It's a fully flexible, silicon keyboard offering practicality, durability and comfort to the user. Get this if you accidentally spill something on it you can actually wash it down with soap and water and if you want to take it with you somewhere, you can roll it up. USB powered, the fact that it's flat, helps to eliminate negative-angle wrist strain.

So what's so great about it? Well the answer is two fold. Traditional keyboards come in two basic forms – either they're attached to your laptop or they sit independent of your PC, somewhere in front of your monitor. In both cases they are rigid and if you spill anything on them you run the risk of damaging them irreparably. When it comes to a laptop an unfortunate incident with a cup of sugary tea can spell complete disaster – you may even need to fork out for a new machine. Despite years of acceptance the whole concept is stupid.

We all sit at our desks for hours and hours a day and we're all human – even if you haven't chucked a cup of coffee over your keyboard yet, the law of averages dictates that it's only a matter of time. With this rubber-feel silicon keyboard it doesn't matter. You can spend the whole day knocking over drinks, squeezing ketchup out of sandwiches and shedding cookie crumbs all over it and it won't make the blindest bit of difference – as long as you can get a hold of a cloth and some warm soapy water. Makes a lot more sense eh?

The second thing that makes it so clever is that you really can roll it up and take it with you wherever you go. No matter what anyone says about all keyboards being virtually the same, anyone who is used to typing on their own keyboard knows that when you tackle a different one your fingers are all over the place for a while. The difference between the position of the keys may only be measurable in millimetres, but when it comes to keyboards, millimetres make all the difference. Once you've gotten used to using this keyboard you never have to get used to using another. Simply carry it with you and whether you're doing consultancy work or you're starting a new job, you can be confident that your typing speed won't let you down.

Of course, if you do a whole lot of typing, you'll know that the Flexible Keyboard brings one further benefit. It's flat, which means that you can rest your hands on the desk using only your fingers to travel over the keys. Negative-angle wrist strain is a serious problem for people who spend eight hours a day, five days a week, tapping away at traditional keyboards. With this innovative USB powered beauty you won't have to worry about the latest 21st century medical menace.
To enable maximum use of this product your computer keyboard settings should be set to English (United States).

Please note this keyboard uses the United States layout and therefore does not have a '£' key.

I wouldnt recommend one if you are using it every day....you'd soon get fed up with the keys, but its ok for a quirk i suppose.

I have just placed 2 orders for 5 of these keyboards.

Why place 2 orders? Orders over £20 (ex shipping) get a free Maglite, a £10 value. By splitting the order, my extra cost was £1 for shipping but I get 2 Maglites

The offer was supposed to time out yesterday but it worked for me today.

Nice one Mark.T, welcome to HUKD's :) Thanks for the extra info !

Great product, great price. Only draw back is that its US keyboard so the double quote and the @ symbol are the wrong way round. No UKPound sign too, but otherwise great bargain, thanks

I had one of these keyboards.... Practically unusable.. each key 'wobbles' when you press it. There is no way that a typist could get any joy out of this... no matter how frequently you use it...

The only advantage is the fact that its wipe clean and waterproof.... Good for a till in a chip shop... otherwise useless...

Hey, great price. Voted hot. But would never buy one of these for myself. I think they look horrible and i dont think they would be nice to type on.

Great price though, Voted hot + rep given.

Thanks for the "hands-on" reply. They would probably be good to have rolled up in a laptop backpack in case you ended up needing to use your laptop for a long time somewhere and wanted a wider keyboard. I can't really see why else you'd want one though as obviously it's not going to be as sturdy as a normal keyboard.

NOTE: you can also get these about the same price on fee-bay, or for just a quid or two more on Amaxon

Good price, paid over £15 for mine 3 years ago.

"Please note this keyboard uses the United States layout and therefore does not have a '£' key."

These are stupid "china" ones, not even UK layout.
#12
These keyboards will drive you nuts. I thought it would be a good idea but you can't type at normal speed on it at all, and most of the time you end up correcting mistakes. Truly a nightmare keyboard in my experience.
#13
It's a Maglite Solitaire you get with orders over 20 quid
These are the ones that run on one AAA, but they never break :D
#14
i've ordered one from fleabay 2 days ago

just broke my laptop keyboard so thought this may be usefull to use till i can get a good deal on a new laptop.
hope it works ok:whistling:

????

Do they come with a free sachet of Nescafe to test the keyboard with?
#18
I think its worth mentioning that this keyboard is only available with a United States layout. That means no '£' symbol and most other symbols in odd places.
#19
I had one of these and it was horrific, you would have to press the buttons so hard for it to register anything, and the feeling you'd get from pressing the keys gave you no recognition if it had been pushed down all the way.

Buy at your own risk!
#20
I bought one of these off ebay years ago. I fix PCs for people and they just bring their towers to me. I like the fact I can just roll it up and put it away when I'm done. It's a strange typing experience.
#21
saw this kind of keyboard for the first time in die hard 4.0 a few weeks ago
#22
might get one to connect to the xbox for messenger - I can roll it up & hide it behind the telly to please my girlfriend then.

I take it there is no reason this wouldn't work with the 360?

cheers,
worto.

Totally agree ! This keyboard has to be the worst ever. We bought a few for work( obviously not the pink one) and 4 of them failed.

Steer well clear ! :-(

Got my Pink un today...I wouldn't have wanted to buy it for £15 but for £5 it's a useful bargain for most with space restrictions/portability or just want it as a quick keyboard. I got it for when I want a full keyboard on my laptop and I think it'll serve me well once I'm use to the keys which are a little odd at first but workable. For £5 you can't go wrong. Should be easy to clean too. ^_^
