DOnt quote me on this....

I think usb is 5v and max 1 amp per socket.

So 5 watts of heating power.

Hence the deal is cold in more than one way.

Very funny, what will they come up with next, ironically as I sit here now my feet are freezing. I think I'd be one of those who forget and hear a crash behind me when I rush to the door to get my latest delivery so I think I'll give them a miss.

On the subject of heating power, don't foget the insulating properties of the fluffy slippers so any added power will help, afterall you don't want them too hot, they are probably at a comfortable level, remember on the Big Bang Theory that they cooked a chicken with 2 x 100W light bulbs!!

Suicide Slippers ..................serious risk of electrocution with this sort of thing :-)

Looks like a task from the film SAW !! haha

"I want to play a game.....you are wired into the mains via the slippers you are wearing...you have just 2 minutes to unlock the code or your feet will fry.....live or die....make your choice"

eh? :? Didn't you read abaxas post about the voltage? Might be wise to think before typing next time.

see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usb#Power

These are safe from an 'electrocution' point of view (unless you try and plug it into the mains), far less safe from a 'trip over and fall on your touche' or 'yank the pc across the room' side of things though. :w00t:

USB is 5 volts. I thought it was only 500mA per socket though. Either way it really isn't what your PC or especially your laptop is going to have been designed for.

You maybe want to think next time and get a sense of humour because it was obviously a light hearted remark.

I was bought a cigarette lighter that went into a drive bay some years ago. I thought it was hilarious. Maybe only funny if you're a hopeless nerd like me. It actually worked too and I used it many a time when the gremlins had spirited my lighter away.

I think just for fun this is hot and only scroogey sour puss's would vote it cold. Perfect stocking filler for that geeky girl in your life.
