USB Hub (1.1 & 2.0)
looks just like the one in the picture.
they also come in different colours (blue, pink, clear).

seem like a good price as ASDA are selling the 2.0 one for £5.

i got two different ones at different times and the packaging says 2.0 on the front but they are both USB 1.1 and little to no use. some devices won't work with them either, as i have a USB 1.1 pc at work and some devices that work directly plugged in won't work plugged into the hub, even if it's the only device plugged into the hub (as it's easier to plug into the hub than stretch round the back of the computer)

They are used to expand the number of USB ports. Each hub has a number of USB ports (depending on the hub normally 4-5) and you just plug it into a USB port on the PC to give you extra ports.

Good value if they are 2.0, but short of buying and benchmarking one; not clear how your going to know. Maybe ask the "technical support" manager next time your in a store :whistling:

They are USB2 . I bought 2, one for my PS3. Works fine with wireless mics and Guitar Hero dongle plugged in whilst charging joystick thingy.

I had the same problem. Labelled as USB 2 but kept getting that annoying pop up saying device can perform faster..... I have some non-speed dependent devices attached to it, so it works fine as a USB1.1 hub but I have to say I'm a little disappointed with it, £1 or not!
