These are actually very good, a similar product was posted about a week ago for slightly less money, but there were comments about not wanting to use the company posted. This is only a few pounds more and delivered from Play so should be ok. We have the next model up from this one in school and everybody who's seen it can't believe the quality (ours is 2MP, up to 400x magnification and cost about £40 I think) I have however seen this model in action and it's very good, you can put it on the end of your finger and see sweat coming out of the sweat pores or put it on your laptop screen and see the individual red green and blue segments. I managed to get the one we have to focus on a fly's eye which was rather grim! One thing to note though is that you cannot really control the magnification, the focus is controlled by a wheel that you turn with your thumb and it will basically focus twice, once at low magnification and once at higher magnification, however as long as precision of magnification is not an issue (which it shouldn't be for the vast majority of applications) then this is fine.
