You can also buy the retractable ones from Poundland - I have one which I carry with me and it's really handy for charging at my PC in work etc...
#2
At this pirce you could sell them on the carboot for £1.50 and make money lol
#3
thanks - ordered a spare for work.
#4
Does it works with iPhone 4?
#5
Awesome! Bought 4, can never have enough of these things!!
#6
I think they will work with all apple products that have the dock connector.
#7
This is the standard price for this item. There are half a dozen retailers on Amazon selling it for under £1.
#8
Nice price = heat added

I have bought numerous knock-off USB cables for my iPhone 4 over the past few months, but BE AWARE - they will 99% not fit in the bumper hole if you have an Apple bumper on your iPhone 4, just a heads up to save you wasting money. The cheapest place for official apple ones is dealextreme, just be patient for the 2 week delivery but it is worth it!

Both NOT genuine nor official. It only takes 30 seconds to skim the reviews on each page to gather this.

comes with a 12 month warranty. bought 2.

I bought from them. It is ok for charging and syncnorising but if you try to update OS (connect to apple) it will fail. It gives cable error.

i bought two mains charger units of ebay at xmas , all be it £1.99 each , they have packed in already , waste of money

And exactly what does this have to do with a USB transfer cable from amazon?

I bought a USB transfer cable from an amazon seller a few weeks ago. It was a cheap fake, but it works.

NOT Genuine

I got a pair last time they were 80p. The charge doesn't hold nearly as long as genuine ones.

So your trying to say the ipod/iphone wont hold its charge as long with a fake cable??!?!! oO
#24
Thanks, ordered two :]

Who cares if it's genuine or fake??? It's not a complicated piece of equipment. Amazon will refund if it does not work.
#26
Just in case anyone is looking to buy these in bulk to sell on. eBay is the place to be to buy non-genuine cables from China. 100 for around £40 is about the going rate it seems.

PS-I'm not self promoting!

PPS-Using non genuine cables doesn't mean the device won't hold a charge. Though poor quality replicas may have bad connectors, which cause the connection to be lost.

In my experience this was the case. I always charge overnight and iphone easily lasts a day+. With these the battery drained a lot faster. Swapped back to the original cable now and keep these as spares.
#28
Would be better of spending £10 on a cable, will make you pictures and music sound a lot better

I'm no expert, but isn't it the device (i.e. the ipod, iphone, etc.) that holds the charge?!?

That is clearly the fault of the cables and nothing whatsoever to do with the battery in your iPhone. :)

Nobody is doubting you. These cheap leads clearly degrade the quality of the electricity that charges your iPhone, so it drains away quicker.

degrade the quality of the electricity

I am no electrician, but that just sounds plain wrong.

It is the placebo effect - people expect these cables to be inferior products to the genuine ones. Batteries degrade over time and people use their idevices to play increasingly complex games and are using push notifications. This means when the time comes to replace your knavkered or lost genuine cable, the number of hours of charge will seem a lot less.

I have a couple of these cheap o es and one that looks like an official one but is clearly fake as the plastic feels alot cheaper.

None of them will charge my iPad properly, it says it's charging but I can leave it overnight and it's only on 10% in the morning if that. Switch to proper official cable using same power source and it charges much faster.

got one of these today

works fine with iphone 4 with pixelskin hd case on

plastic does feel cheap but for 81p, cant complain
