I think the "news" in this deal is that it work plug'n'play with win 7. Alot of these gadgets were designed for Win 98 and XP (many with cheap chinese clone factories) and caused no end of agro for Vista users. If this works no prob on Win 7 - no blue screens etc. that is important info. Pricewise it is good and it comes from Amazon you are guaranteed excellent service if you have trouble in the future.

Bottom line, if you find something cheaper dont vote cold before you check that it is a Vista/Win7 compatiable.

EDIT: Some not very good reviews on Amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B000IM5VOA/ref=cm_cr_pr_hist_1?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&filterBy=addOneStar

These have been out years, and you have to be in a place with a very strong signal for it to pick it up or it will not work :)

These are pretty pants really, save your money

i had 1 of these and took it back as i could not get a signal anywhere at all and i live in the center of a large town the only time i ever got it to work was when i used the main house ariel and even then i got tuned into more using a freeview box dont buy in my opinion wait for them to develop better tuners that actually work with minimal signals

Standard Afatech clone by the look of things.

You can get the W7 drivers on the net no problem if you know where to look :)

got one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.28891 only 14.99 dollar, free postage. got a converter from ebay for 2 quid so that the main coax cable can be used as standard antenna is.. well.. poor.

Bought one years ago and never go a good signal unless used with the main aerial. Just use tvcatchup now if I want to watch live tv on my laptop.

I second that, tvcatchup is perfect for my laptop or iphone.
