I didn't even know they made 4tb 2.5" portable drives, yes I realise they're 2x2tb drives inside but I don't care about the size or number of physical disks, I'm just happy to have 4tb in a small form factor without requiring external power. Two ordered, heat added. Nice find :D

used with 6 months warranty. You can buy 2tg usb 3.0 hard drives new with 5 years warranty for £75 on amazon, plus you don't have to deal with Dabs (non-existing) cs.

A drive with a 5 year warranty would be better if you only need 2tb but I need more space so for me, and others I'm sure, these are a great deal, a 4tb 3.5" drive is currently around the same price as these.

I'm also hoping that 1) They don't break (If they do the replacement of the data will be more of an issue than the replacement of the physical drive so the extra warranty on a new drive doesn't count for a whole lot) and 2) There may be some form of longer warranty with Seagate, but if not, no problem.

I had really good CS from Dabs i had two faulty GPU's totally not their fault blame Gigabyte for faulty powerboards and they gave me a full refund on both and let me keep the bundled games. Refund was no quibble as they didn't have the cards i wanted in stock. Have purchased a few other PC bits from them and not had any issues at all

You were lucky then. I had to make a Visa chargeback to get my money back for mis-sold goods.

I've ordered 2 as I need 8tb, if I went for 2tb drives I need 4 of the damn things so I'd end up paying £42 more and having to have 4 drives instead of 2. It's horses for courses, for me these work out much better than 2tb drives.

I sincerely hope your drives will last longer than 6 months :(

Just as much chance of a used drive dying as a new drive, and either way I lose my data so what's the difference...
