Hahaha, ive had a few surface's now keep on selling them on ... just feel that for this price i could have it for six months and not really lose any money

I have generally had good experience with Amazon used "like new" before, when there is no description of any blemishes or scratches on the item you can pretty much guarantee that the only issue is a dinged box.

I have a 2013 MacBook Air I'm looking to upgrade. Is the surface a good option? Anyone made the switch?

Keep checking back; there were another two available this morning when I checked at 6am, one was damaged box, the other was damaged box and small cosmetic damage. They were gone in no time, sadly.

I suspect they were cancelled orders

There is a refurb of the model above this one for £580 at the moment.

I managed to get the i5 model with 256gb Surface 4 a few months ago when amazon were offering 20% off warehouse deals on top. Think it cost £420ish.

What came was a surface 3 but the i7-4650 model with 512gb SSD. Windows also wasn't activated which was a bit weird. I decided to keep it. Mentioned it being a different model to amazon on chat and they gave me a further 20% partial refund. It's a great tablet though not massively impressed with the battery which does well to last 5 hours just doing web browsing. The fan also fires up for no reason often which is common after researching it.

Moral of the story is to check it when it comes to be sure it's not a swap-out.

It'll likely be fine but obviously be sure to check it's not a swap out when it arrives. Keep up posted.

Don't suppose I could ask what the condition of the item was like could I please? Was it new but with damaged packaging, or did it have cosmetic damage to the item as well? Thanks

Hi the packaging showed signs of being opened but screen and keyboard had no marks at all which has been my general experience with Amazon Warehouse and of course can just send it back if not happy.

Even like the action of the keyboard and track pad, now I know its OK I will invest in a pen when one comes up at right price and large SD card to extend storage.

Just ordered cheap win 365 multi licence to install and loaded up kindle app this I hope is going to be my portable of choice and may replace some of my now redundant kit.
