how often they give this offer? As I dont need it for now but 3 onths time I will

Not as good as when newsgroupdirect had a sale on, 6$ a month unlimited forever, so long as you keep the subscription.

Don't forget banks (well, atleast lloyds TSB) will charge you £1 per overseas transaction

newsdemon is 5.50 a month and you pay by the monthly so yuo can ditch them whenever

5.50$ or £? I can't seem to find any at that price for unlimited for that cheap (Other than the 3 month's unlimited for £12.85 which is limited to number of accounts left)

Unlimited plus is similar to my unlimited, except newsdemon are charging £12 a month for that service.

Does anyone know if this is cheaper than XLned who i am with? I think XLned is cheaper per year but i know the retention rate is about 300 days which isnt as good as this.

I've got a 3 month trial, each month is 20GB.. if you want an invite?

That's with newsgroupdirect.com. 1021 days retention.

I beg to differ.

Having been a long time customer of usenetserver, I left for an "astraweb" offer which meant a saving of $4 per month. There is no search or NZB packing tools for DL on astraweb so after a few months decided to go back with usenetserver and pay the extra. Luckily, I found an offer of $10pm, beating the offer price from astraweb by $1pm.

Apart from that I found no difference in the service, retention, completion and DL speeds.

Please quantify why you think astraweb is better?

Probably because he uses it, and only that reason. lol

I have used a number of providers and have just cancelled UNS.

Too many files had missing pieces that even the par2 could not fix.

I would not use again.
Yes they are cheap, yes they have a search tool, but I did not find that tool particularly good.

Any evidence that those missing parts were available on those other providers?

I often see comments on the NZB sites to say incomplete on Astra, Giganews etc which I have been able to download OK on Usenetserver

I'm not keen on it either but it's handy on occasion.
