Not quite sure how they give a 12 month guarantee on a product that's already out of date!

I'll never buy protein or any thing like that again from Argos. Twice they've sold me out of date stuff. Last month I got some protein that was BB Jan 2016

Best Before Date 11.2016
thats confirmed

Very good price best i used to get these where on Amazon or GNC (MetrX) in a 2 for 1, the best before date is worrying, i used on old tub once and caused my problems.

The drink itself is 200kals, take two a day as b/fast and lunch replacement plus a normal meal.
The "plant" ingredient in it supposedly stave off hunger, dunno about that but overall i found the drink filled you up.

The plant ingredient will be irrelevant, the company won't have paid for any trials/studies on their product to indicate positive results, there may be studies done on that particular ingredient that indicate a positive outcome but the preparation of the ingredient could be wrong, biologically inactive, too low an amount or not even contain the supposed chemical constituents that are shown to have any effect. It should be evident that most supplements even though they're big business are in fact a waste of money.

I disregard supplements such as the one in this deal, they may help in the short term but unless you can sustain the diet you'll end up putting the weight back on. Supplements should always be the last thing to consider unless you are looking for a specific goal whereby you can maintain the supplementation indefinitely and/or cycle the supplementation. There are supplements that are shown to work in bodybuilding for example but only a handful. In terms of weight loss managing your metabolism, calorific intake and exercise can help, there is no magic cure for obesity for everyone, one thing is certain in the Western world we're activating genes which have an effect on Obesity via our lifestyles which encompasses food, medication and stress factors. Adding supplements to the mix which are largely unproven usually won't help.

The summary of this is don't look at supplements to provide a quick or even a fix for weight loss. Modification of the diet is the biggest factor and it has to be sustainable. You can lose weight by modification of your diet and not exercise at all, exercise is beneficial for health, and there's numerous studies to indicate this, so it's wise to exercise, not everyone can immediately though. Not all calories are equal, calories are obtained from fat, protein and carbs.

Bought 2 of these, mixed one shake and it has gone off, the shake smells like soggy cardboard and the tub smells of rotten plastic..
