I don't know much about rowing machines but I'd like to get one - does anybody know if a hydraulic one is worth getting or should I be spending a bit more to get something better?

Well the digital ones tell you distance , and lots of other useless information, but they are pricey.
Either way they keep you fit , depends on your budget i suppose :)

Depends if you want one that really does give you the workout you want or one you use a couple of times and never use again. If you've used the ones in the gyms then these type cant even be comparable.

The only rower to have in my opinion and yes I do own one is a Concept rower, very expensive on the face of it but nothing to compare against it in your typical retail stores. My advice look on Ebay for a second hand concept 2 if you want a good rower.

Just my opinion of course and I am sure others will have different opinions so please don't flame me

Thanks kemik - but what's the point of an internet forum if nobody is allowed to flame you? :-)
