Description:

Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a young working-class woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as 'V'.

Profoundly complex, V is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual, a man dedicated to freeing his fellow citizens from those who have terrorized them into compliance...

The Matrix Trilogy writing/directing team of Larry & Andy Wachowski adapt Alan Moore's seminal graphic novel into a thought-provoking blockbuster.

Not my bag of chips, but I'll pass it onto a mate who likes it... Still don't know why he likes it though but each to their own!

Its has already if you think about it, we are all being controlled by the government,

The banks bring the world to its knees, but yet they are still allowed multi million pound bonus's at our expense, people losing their homes because they cant afford to eat or pay their gas bills, while the fat cats just sit in the lap of luxery in their billion pound houses and cars.

Discovered this film this year. Now a favourite. Oh how I cheered at the end.

The sentiment seems very relevant.

Her acting in this though is so bad!

Lame movie. Alan Moore disassociated himself from this movie and requested his name to be removed from the credits.

They had this in my local tescos in the bluray clearout bins for £5... I believe it was a nationwide clearout, so if you pop to your local store you may find one.

Alan Moore disassociates himself with everything based on his works. He's a first class writer but acts like a child.

Hot deal, great film BUT not the greatest blu-ray. Had this since Zavvi last had it on offer and was so pleased that I had my hands on the Blu-ray of a great film but it might as well have been the DVD. The sound through my Denon surround system was so limp and I had to tweak the life out of it to get anything like cinema like effects to come through and the display was not as crisp as most other blu's, I just hope that they release a better if not collector’s edition that has been tweaked.

I saw this film the other day and I've been looking for a copy because it was so good :D Good price like!
#22
Read the original comic book instead - the film was a travesty.
#23
I'm wanting to get the comic book also, but I'm looking around first to see the best price :)

Really? I thought it was very good.

Portman is not the best. The new Star Wars films? It's not Jar Jar Binks that winds me up about those films it is Portman and Christensen. The both of them are like 2 lumps of wood and I just want to throw up in my mouth when I watch them.
