The Visitors are among us. In a single shared moment, they appear in every major city in the world, promoting a message of peace. They want to share their knowledge of technology; they want us to unite. And they are counting on a very important component of human nature: devotion. At first considered a threat, the Visitors -- or V's -- quickly become a fascination. But when FBI Counter Terrorist Agent Erica Evans discovers what lurks beneath the alarmingly human exterior of the V's, resisting this new world has never been more important -- and never has there been more at stake. It truly is the dawning of a new day.

I believe this deal is for the tacky modern remake. Why bother when for only a fiver more you can have the classic orignal box set from the 1980s?

sorry, i disagree with some of the above comments. Ive seen the older ones and seen all of season 1, and 3 episodes (online) of season 2, and i love it. Granted season 1 may seem a little slow at present but season 2 is amazing!! I'd say best show since 24, and the earlier seasons of Heroes/Lost! Great buy - heat added!

Nearly finished watching season 1 of the new V series. I agree it is a bit slow, and i haven't found myself gripped like Stargate Atlantis / Battlestar Galactica (remake) etc made me. Is the original V still good from a modern day standard or is it a bit of a nostalgic love? i wasn't about for the original series!

I love this new remake of V.. The 80s version was a bit before my time but I have seen it on syfy channel and thought it looked a bit dated. This new version is ace. I mean Anna is shown as far more evil character than Diana in the 80s version. I got hooked quickly and do watch series 2 which so far is much better than series 1.. Seems to flow better. I think I will love it as much as Stargate Atlantis but not as much as Smallville. For 8quid for about 10hours viewing.. bargain...

As a huge Sci-Fi fan I think this is truly awful. The acting isn't great aside from a handful of people, the writing is even worse and the effects are particularly cheesy and bad, even by TV standards. Everything is quite clearly green-screened, and not well. It's a joke compared to BG and it takes itself too seriously to compete with Stargate at it's best. Honestly I'd save your money and buy something like Fringe which, by Season 3, is now one of the best pieces of Sci-Fi TV I've ever seen.

the series has been canned so you will not see anything past 10 episodes more.
