"Another wonderful Collection not for the unbelievers !!!!"

What's being a "believer" or otherwise got to do with it? The reason why most of this "religious" music exists is because the church at the time had all the wealth and power and could afford to pay the composers. You don't have to be part of the God Squad to be able to appreciate listening to and performing it as much as anyone else.

Oh God!

So is everyone who listens to classical music brainwashed? Look at the list of composers mentioned again. Though these CDs are not my "cup of tea" I do recognise and appreciate the works of great composers.

Now up to £3.78

So how many tracks on these discs will the average person actually know? I guess Zadok is well known and I can sing* an Agnus Dei but I think it is Lloyd Webber.

*sing = make a noise roughly something like the tune, going up or down in the right places but not necessarily by the right amounts.

I see Christianity bashing is alive and well at HUKD! Are we are the only group of people in today's society that it is cool to slag? What about our discrimination rights?

That's because we are supposed to be intelligent and living in the 21st Century. I could understand a backward, remote, tribal race believing in a god or gods - I'm embarrassed that I have fellow country men and women who still have primitive beliefs.

Must be an IQ thing.....

I am happy enough to ridicule Christians when the followers are being plonkers but there is no way that it is even remotely ok to ridicule other faith groups. I think that is what the previous poster was getting at too.

Anyway, not worth getting hot and bothered about on this site.

Spoken like someone who is truely forward-thinking, progressive and inclusive.

I am dissapointed that there are still people in this country who think this is a valid point of view. Have your own beliefs sure but why say you are more intelligent than those who believe in something? What does it matter to you if people believe in love, which essentially is what christianity is?

Once you have experienced God it is very difficult to try to deny Him.

Besides which, this is still a great deal, with some beautiful music on it. :)

It's quite easy to deny providing you can think for yourself, it's pretty much how all former religious people turn into atheists/agnostics.

Religion and politics are rarely a good topic for discussion, it tends to bring out the child in all of us. Keep the faith...or not, whatevar. >_>

Good deal while it lasted btw.

Actually you'd find that many believe that something/someone is responsible for the science!!!

It was never gonna be greeted with a good reaction on here because most people on here only worship booze, video games and Tescos, not that they are a bad thing, but I like to think there's more meaningful things in life, and no, I'm not a God-fearing christian, but I believe that we're all. part of something pretty amazing.

Good deal while it lasted, even if its not for the heevens on here.

ha ha Worship at the Altar of Tesco all you booze filled ungodly bargain hunters

The prejudice was the original poster's, suggesting that this collection was not for "unbelievers". Do try to keep up.

Once you have experienced a deep delusion it is very difficult to see how stupid you look when you write things like that.
