Valentine's gift - Silver Last Rolo only £28.90!!!

How about this for an idea for a really funky Valentine's day pressie? It's a silver last rolo, which I think would be suitable as a gift for person of either gender. If you use the discount code below, you can get it for £28.90 delivered. This is around the £35 mark (+delivery) at most other online stores.

Promo code: JANCOFF

Details: Making a symbolic gesture never fails to impress, but if it's just the last chocolate in the packet, then it won't impress for very long. This version of 'The Last Rolo' however is considerably more likely to produce a smile, a kiss, and who knows, maybe even a long lasting relationship (well a date at any rate). Encased in this charming little red box is a beautifully well made replica Rolo in hallmarked Sterling Silver - now that really is a romantic gesture.

Don't forget 10% quidco - thanks Mikewot!

I am sure it is cheaper on that site where somebody posted the London eye trip and meal on a glass top boat. I think it was £29.99 but someone said you can get 25% off.

Can anyone tell me which site it was please?
#15
www.buyagift.com ?

EDIT - it's £39 there, even with the 25% off, that's £29.99 + postage I think.

I wasn't one of the earlier ones but I did just vote cold.

My reason would be that it's crap. If my better half found out I'd spend £30 of her present on 'this' I'd be spending a hell of a lot more to make up for it.

Fair enough, thanks for having the guts to tell me why.
#27
not wishing to be negative...but...what would one actually do with this?!
#28
What does one do with a lot of stuff?

It's the thought that counts and the meaning behind giving someone your last rolo.
#29
I reckon my missus would prefer the 820-odd chocolate Rolos you could get for 29 quid :)
#30
Hehe at firey-dragon6666 :)

Thanks for this Emma and Mikewot for the discount code!
#31
It is the cheapest as far as I can see but its still drastically overpriced preventing it from being a hot deal in my opinion.
#32
Stupid, pointless, tacky, overpriced and pointless. Did I mention tacky already?

No offence intended.

But surely the meaning behind giving someone your last rolo is that you're giving them something you 'want' yourself? The last sweet in the packet is always nicer than the rest of the packet so giving it to them is a nice gesture. The last anything is always a nice gesture.

Giving someone a metal rolo that you didn't want yourself doesn't really encapsulate that at all. You can't wear it, which is good because you wouldn't want to I hope. It doesn't do anything. It will likely bring a fixed grin and a stray thought of 'I have no more drawer space left, where am I going to put this for the rest of time to gather dust?'.

Maybe if you're better half is a really big, emphasis on big, fan of Rolos?
#34
Thanks emma :) nice find...

Cannot see why people vote a deal cold just because it doesn't appeal to them. Unless its the price that makes it unappealing.

For instance would someone who has perfect 20/20 vision vote cold for a deal offering free eye surgery?
#36
I think it's kinda neat, My wife might get one of these this years.

Good find.

Thanks.

sold out now......

Isn't value intrinsically connected to whether or not something is any good?

If someone was selling dog turds and proved they were the cheapest dog turds online should I vote hot?

If you needed them or wanted to give them as a gift and couldn't find them cheaper elsewhere then yes.

Which is why I added
"For instance would someone who has perfect 20/20 vision vote cold for a deal offering free eye surgery?"
