Excellent price!!

I just phoned my wife to go to Tescos and get one and she said they are crap tents only any good for festivals.

She only ever uses it to take kids to festivals anyway. Or the kids camp in the garden in the Summer for a laugh.

I'll never understand women.

they are cheap, crappy tents but are waterproof. they're ideal for a 'leave behind'/drunkenly destroy tent for festivals or summer camping parties etc but if you want something for longer than a weekend, spend some money.

the tesco slightly better range have weak elasticated peg loops (so don't use the loop) that snap in even slightest winds but they are pretty good value for £30, really spacious roomy tent. nightmare to fold up though :s
#17
Good for kids to camp in the garden I guess lol
#18
Just don't get any water on it. :p
#19
Do they come with mats, sleeping bags and stove? :)

Wouldn't buy these as I very much doubt they're waterproof!2, 3, 4 aren't as there is no inner "bedroom" to seperate the outside material and you! Morning dew, any rain and you're soaked. 6 person tent doesn't have brilliant reviews either - pain to assemble and also waterproofing issues yet again!Bought a pop up tent from Tesco for a festival and was drenched within 2 hours, it was raining through the tent.Voting cold as theyre only useless if you have good weather, which is England, isn't promising.

Dear God.........£1.75 for a 2 person tent....and we still get moaners on about value, how long they last etc.....

As for voting cold because we don't get much good weather in England........ I doubt Tesco's can do much about that......

FFS...£1.75...buy a couple, let the kids play in the garden...or leave them at festivals, it's not exactly robbery at these prices, is it????
#22
I bought the 4 person one and it was awful, had holes in it so took it back and got my money back. It would have been less embassasing to have put a wendy house up at the camp site - and probably would have flapped around less. Good for kids though...
#23
I certainly wouldn't take one of these to a festival, it's either scorching hot and it's an oven inside, or the rain's lashing down and soaking your sleeping bag.

However at this price they are excellent for playing in the garden with the kids. We picked up one for my nephew and he loves playing in it.

Certain people on here will always moan. You cant get a raincoat for 1.75 yet she cant see the value in this. These type of members make stupid comments, get slated and get off on it.
Its the cycle

I reckon that picture is photoshopped, as are all the rest, as a marketing ploy by a Tesco employee to get us all down there to buy their tents. You scoundrel.

(Why do people always ask for proof?!! Good on you for taking the time to put the photos on, personally I wouldn't have bothered. They can like it or lump it!!)

Some people wouldn't recognise a bargain if it slapped them in the face. What do you expect for these sort of prices? Even if you use them only once, you've had value for money! If you want a tent with all the bells and whistles then expect to pay the going rate, otherwise keep your snidey comments to yourself - £1.75 FFS!

I simply cannot believe that people can come up with bad things to say about a tent for £1-75.

It has however made me think of a good game. On the 500+ degree deals, lets see who can come up with the most ridiculous criticism...

I'll go first...

think I might pop into tesco and pick up a few of these for Glasto next year, they'll be easy to store in the attic when they're neatly packed up like that as well

Please don't leave them at the festivals:( somebody has got to clear them all away and at most of the large festivals it is truly depressing how many tents are left. If you take it with you and you can't bin it on site then just pack it up and take it home.

Oh great deal by the way!:)

Damn I should have driven around and buy them all then go to festivals and make huge profi

Found it very funny.

Hydrostatic Head on them (H/H) is 1500mm, which isn't great, but would do for most summer camping, assuming no heavy rain!!

"with 1500 mm being usually suitable for summer camping" - Source Wikipedia

I've just got some from the Cov Store at £7 for the 3man and £30 for the 6man
