Yes, but Tesco charges £4.85 for store collection for orders under £25, plus you can only collect from a couple of stores.

Have you seen the whole Value range at Argos? They've got a 2 slice toaster for £3.49, hand mixer for £3.96, electric knife for £4.89, 2 slice sandwich toaster £4.89, kettle £4.69 and a 3 bowl steamer for £7.99. They also do other items like a bamboo blind in the value range. As you can tell, I've been browsing.

I bought this before, blended my baby's soup which was a bit warm and the plastic started to deform(melt). I do not recomend.

Very true .... I hate when i see any product labelled as "MADE IN CHINA" .. or "Made in P.R.C"

Great price, we need another one to blend the babys food, (blend it in a cup it will cool the food and not melt anything that way). Its a shame there are no Uk ethical stores out there who could exploit the 'underworked' people in our UK society to make these up at this price !
#11
no probs using one of these to mix my boiling hot custard?
#12
I have the asda equivalent of these, bought some time ago for much the same price: I use it for making soup in a big stock pot. - I blend when boiling (although it comes off the hob first) and have had no trouble with melting or anything

A cheap hand blender can really come in useful, and this is a good price.

Exploit China?? I love the homemade economics some people have. Manufacture growth is powering China's development. Have you ever heard of the Industrial Revolution? I hate it when people take some moral high ground with developing countries. By boycotting them you stilt their growth. If they can't sell their products, the factories will cut the wages of their workers and force them to work under worse conditions. If the factories prosper, the workers will too, and eventually they will form trade unions and force better conditions.

Your basis for this statement is what?

I'm looking for a new one after having bought the tesco one only a few months ago and it's fell apart! Won't go back together.

I think I'll buy a decent one next time!
