T&Cs? If you put them here you'd need a whole new page with all the limits, waivers, conditions, defaults etc etc.

Just read the small print!

I used this service a few months back in Europcar Maidstone. I got a Vauxhall Movano? big van for £13.98 in total for 2 hours. The staff were very friendly and even helped me with a little fuel issue I had with the Van. Highly recommended.

If you want to hire the van on Saturday you'll have to pay the full day rate even if you only want it for a couple of hours.
Still a good deal in my opinion.

nice one. hot

I called up EuroCar 10 days back and was told that the offer has expired.
Can anyone confirm, if they have used this service of late
#6
What is it relative to the daily rate ?

I thought about it but then realised I'd have to get back to where I need it from where I could pick it up and then do the reverse later. I'd also have to get to their location and then back, both on foot or public transport.

I'm trying to stack it up against a daily hire and the man and van option.

Anyone used them before? Want a van and they have an office near by. Rates seem reasonable

Not all outlets have , you would need to check.

In the time it took you to write this you could have checked the prices on their website. Just go part way through the booking system, it takes about 1 minute. Try it, it's easy.

we hired a van a couple weeks a go for an hour only did 10 miles, when we got back the guy asked us to go fil the van up, went to garage when it got up to £5 i refused to put any more in, when we booked it they also forgot to tell us we needed to take a credit card for them to take £250 deposit

I used this service a few months ago in order to pick up a sofa - I was quoted £30 to use a "man with a van" so searched the internet to see if you could hire a van by the hour. I ended up paying £6.99 for a transit van for an hour - Its great for those big collection only ebay purchases.

I can't find it for me on the website :(

Dont see your point - its from 5.99 meaning the smallest van (astra size) is 5.99 the medium (transit) is 6.99 and so on.

Thanks - now you've explained it it's all clear. I thought it might have been 5.99 only if you hire the smallest van for 10 hours during the second Sunday of a blue moon and don't drive it for more than one mile. Would be good to put that in the initial post. Does that include fuel?

thanks

Could be great but could be a duffer.

Option 1

You get a taxi to their place, pay for a couple of hours, pay for the fuel and pay for a taxi back to your place. Maybe £25 ?

Option 2

You get a man and van who picks you up and goes to pick up whatever you need to pick up and then drops you off back at your place. You also have him to help with the carrying. Maybe £25 ?

At what price differential does the "loads of extra work" in doing it yourself become relevant ?

Or drive your own car there - leave it outside while you drive the 5.99 van for an hour bring it back and drive home in your own car - £5.99 + £2 deisel = £7.99

Man with van = £35

I would do the work to save myself £27

depends though.....you must live in the middle of nowehere....if i hired a van in reading.....it could take me up to 2.5 hours to get out of town then again a man with a van usually charges by the hour.....1 hour is nowhere near enough
