Hi, this is incredible! We bought one for our kids room it's very well built but it requires ages to build....At this price I am even thinking of getting one for our bedroom, if my husband agrees to build it :) Voted hot, hot hot!

Seems a really good price for what you get, thinking of ordering two - I can also make use of the voucher, making this a fab deal.
ps - your avitar - both funny and horrible at the same time!!

Yes this is an excellent deal. We are very happy with our wardrobe, it's just that as I said it does take a lot of patience to build but the final result is beautiful. There is lots of space and rails to hang clothes. Also a few shelves.
#7
Does anyone know whats its like on the inside? is the hanging rail section full length?

Want it long enough for long dresses and coats, any one know?

p.s. why does argos not tell you what material its made out off?

Looks like a nice wardrobe....but went to check it on the irish site and its been reduced to...wait for it.....€577.79 :-( I know this is Hot UK deals but just thought I'd add this little bit of information:w00t:

I have 2 of these that I paid £300 when I bought my flat. They look built in and they are very good quality. The door mechanisms are really well done and smooth. The storage is very versatile inside too. I didn't build them though and can imagine that is quite a task.

me and my dad put ours up in about an hour, but it is not easy:) but when done looks great and is really sturdy. the shelves are adjustable to suit your needs and the wardrobe is really deep so great for suits. as regards length the left hand side can have 1 or 2 rails in depending if you want full length or not. if you want full length dresses in just put the one rail in not the one below it.
#12
Thanks OP, got 2 off them and used the £50 off code - paid £5.95 delivery - go both for £287

Amazing Deal, this should get hot. Need to charge my electric screwdriver now !

Would someone be so kind as to possibly post a photo of the wardrobe. The actual pics on the Argos site are pretty poor,,

Thanks in advance
#17
has anyone got it in pine please? as that is the colour i ordered but it looks more of an oak colour on the website
#18
Just ordered, with 2 bedside units, plus £50 off code & 1.5% TopCashBack!

Thanks OP

Good find! Thanks OP!

Just ordered, hopefully won't happen the same story as with £25 wardrobe from Wilkinson, which turned out to be out of stock after a few days from ordering.
#20
Im tempted too. Just moved house and want a new wardrobe. Some home photos of these wardrobes would seal it hopefully.

As somebody else said the photos arent great on Argos site
#21
Brilliant, thank you. Have just ordered one and a chest of drawers, all for £211 inc. delivery! Better than the £300 plus we were planning to spend at Ikea!!
#22
Perfect, i'm looking for a new wardrobe. Some internal pics would be handy...
#23
Just ordered 2 in pine. got 0 % on our argos card 6 months. They are on page 285 of autumn winter catalogue. 2009. fab deal:thumbsup:

Bought one of these a few years ago and was a pile of rubbish - bits arrived broken and was so flimsy bits broke while assembling and had to put it back for a refund.

We have similar with bifold doors - absolutely appauling and will not last long at all. The screws in the hinges in the bifold aren't robust enough to hold the weight of the mirrorred doors. Which eventually menas they go out of alignment and creates extra pressure. I have had to refix my hinges several times.

Ikea are far better.

Anyone who has ordered I would urge you to send back. Its a False economoy as you will have to replace them in 3 years.
#26
I tried adding a netbook to the wardrobe and the total came to £400. Then tried applying the HOME50 code but wasn't accepted. Does the £250+ have to be all furniture items?

That's right - just furniture. Had the same sort of disappointment when spent half an hour choosing nursery items to find that the discount didn't apply to them.

Also, I always had the problem that whatever items I added there was a pound or two short of the required 250 (unless well over it). Smart a$$e$ :p

I am not sure whether the vancouver wardrobes I've just found on the Homebase Website (£449.99) are identical to this or not however, the Wenge looks the same, only you will know by comparing the dimensions etc. They also stock it in the following finishes: Maple, Pine, Wenge & Beech
Sorry to report that the illustrations are all of the front view, so no help on that front for you folk wanting an internal picture.

When you say you 'have similar' do you mean the same product or a different make? Seems some other reviews are good. Have ordered now so I suppose I will have to wait and see
#31
Looks like "Vancouver Range" gets mixed reviews on Argos website, they sell matching drawers etc, lots of comments about cheap finish, chipboard on edging, runners breaking, and bits missing or not correct size. Not worth the hassle and waste of 5 hours, I would stay clear
#34
Fantastic offer - great range of furniture - really good looking and well made. Wouldn't be without mine
#35
Already used the code - Anyone know if the HOME50 code can be used more than once, e.g. if my missus uses it on a new account.

Yeah, unfortunately, it's almost always like that with Argos =(
And even if they do match the discount, their conversion rate dated to 3 years ago, when the £3 to 4€ made any sense
#37
I bought this about 4 years ago with the matching chest of drawers. At first, a piece was missing and it took ages for them to send a replacement. It also took ages to put together. But it does look nice. Unfortunately the quality is pretty poor, one of the doors has never fitted properly and pops off the runner fairly frequently. The chest of drawers has broken loads of times, and I've fixed it loads of times, but it's virtually unusable now so i'm looking for something new. Hopefully I just got a dud set and yours will be fine x

I ACCIDENTLY ORDERED 3 TIMES , 6 WARDROBES IN TOTAL USING SAME CODE, JUST CANCELLED 2 OVER THE PHONE:thumbsup:

i ordered 2 wardrobes and applied the HOME50 code and then had an email saying they charged the price before the £50 discount... The system removed the code....a phone call to Argos customer services sorted it...they are sending me a cheque fo £50 cash back...good enough...

I have ones in beeach - I don't know if they are "Vancouver" or a different manufacturer. I think they are the same. They certainly look identical.
