I bought a pair of schwalbe silento tryes from halfords about 3 months ago and the tyres have already perished on the side walls. The inner tube is now visible through the side of the tyre. thought schwalbe tyres supposed to be good but they are poor quality.

Heavy tyres for 1.95's but heat for the price for basic tyres ;)

Schwalbe make good tyres they are certainly not poor oO something is seriously wrong if they've worn down like that, I'd suggest you should check your tyre pressures, that or give up the drifting

I too had a Schwalbe tyre fail. the side walls split after about 5 months. very cheap and poor quality if you ask me

I've truely never had an issue, im running magic mary and Ralph's though. TBH if I'd had premature failures I'd certainly be contacting schwalbe, but I can understand why someone would switch manufactures if they didn't have confidence, you need faith in your tyres!

silentio are the low end range don't expect much. they're paper thin on the sidewall when new. pay a bit more and get marathon plus. rock solid.
