Vanilla Sky:
David Aames, a tycoon's son who, in the eyes of many, is a spoiled child who has no realization of his wealth or luck. Inhereting his fathers company after both parents were killed in a road accident some years prior, David meets a girl whom his friend brings to a lavish house party one night and instantly falls in love with her.
Desperate to find out more about this mystery girl, he gets chatting to her, unfortunately a jilted lover is watching David at all times and plans her final plot. After surviving a car crash and having his face reconstructed courtesy of his 'jilted lover', David struggles to find out the truth when his dreams turn into reality, and what he thinks is reality, turns into nightmares.

He knows he wants the Mystery girl he met at the party that night, but where is she? who is she? Everything seems muddled slightly, until a doctor manages to repair his face, and life is back to the way it should be, together with his mystery girl, or is it? Questions need to be answered, but who is to be asked and who has the answers.

The Firm:
Mitch McDeere is a young man with a promising future in Law. About to sit his Bar exam, he is approached by 'The Firm' and made an offer he doesn't refuse. Seduced by the money and gifts showered on him, he is totally oblivious to the more sinister side of his company. Then, two Associates are murdered.
The FBI contact him, asking him for information and suddenly his life is ruined. He has a choice - work with the FBI, or stay with the Firm. Either way he will lose his life as he knows it. Mitch figures the only way out is to follow his own plan...

Mission Impossible 2:
IMF agent Ethan Hunt has been sent on a mission to retrieve and destroy the supply of a genetically created disease called 'Chimera'. His mission is made impossible due to the fact that he is not the only person after samples of the disease.

He must also contest with a gang of international terrorists headed by a turned bad former IMF agent who has already managed to steal the cure called 'Bellerophon' and now need 'Chimera' to complete their grand plan of infecting the whole world. In order to infiltrate and locate the terrorist group he relies on the help of an international thief Nyah of whom he quickly develops a love interest.

Time is not only running out for Agent Hunt to find and destroy 'Chimera' before the terrorists get their hands on it, but he must also find 'Bellerophon' so as to save his love interest who has already become infected by the disease from a terrible and rapid death.

This would be OK except MI2 is such a horrendous pile of stinking guff that I wouldn't even want to own it as part of a boxset. I would instantly tear it out, and smash it to bits. Cruise with his stupid slow-mo long hair walking through fire etc, like a prize bell-end. Its no surprise to learn he exec-produced it. "Sure, I'll pay for it, as long as we can have me walking slowly through fire trying to look cool! WOO-HOO! YEAH!"

So for me, its more like £5.50 for one-and-a-half movies (because Vanilla Sky is a bit rubbish too).
Does it have that recent short film of his where he goes crazy, and talks about how his cult are the only people who can help at traffic accidents, and then laughs like a lunatic ?

That was a good one. I couldn't stop laughing for hours.
Vanilla sky is good after about 3times watching it - i found the firm long and boring and mi2 lacked any charm the original had
wonder why they didn't put all 3 M:I's on one dvd and just fill the gap on that dvd with another one of his stinking piles of cr4p??
vanilla sky isn't awful, but it is badly flawed.

the spanish original it was based on, is a far better film, Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes)

and yeah, MI2 is a bit pants, john woo really lost the plot when he moved to hollywood.

The Firm is ok, typical Grisham fare, really.
