I have owned 2 of the solder stations and both burned out within a week of moderate use.
also the black rubber around the hand grip gets so hot it starts to stretch and to hot to handle and begins to work its way down the grip and falls off !
also the nickel plate comes off the solder tip and then solder wont stick to it !
not worth a pound if you ask me !

I've had a very similar experience. Very poor quality tat. Better to get a basic Antex iron and stand - which should last for years.

duratool are trash, bought a pair of wire strippers that fell apart on opening, took back to screwfix, opened replacement at counter, did exactly the same but won't vote cold as that's not your fault
