didn't know these existed, cool. What is the quality like?

GF wants one for her netbook, but Play doesnt seem to have any, anyone know of any other sites that have a decent selection?
#6
I quite like the Madonna one but there is no way I'm paying a tenner for it.

I've used basically the same thing - Gelaskins (from urbanRetro) before on a variety of devices (DS, DSi, PSP, and laptops). You have to just kind of live with the fact that, well yeah, they're massively overpriced for what they are (5p worth of 3M vinyl cut to a template, with a print on). That said, the skins are really good at protecting your equipment from scratches and stuff, and if you get a style you like it's a great way of personalising your gear.
The prints on Wrappz stuff generally look a bit pants, tbh? not sure what the image quality is like, but the actual style is a matter of taste I guess - I fell in love with at least half a dozen of the designs they sell at UrbanRetro, but as I say it's a case of personal choice. The 3M vinyl all these companies use is sturdy and does the job, everything else is just whether you like the image and whether you'd pay the price (seems like they're often massively inflated, and then they do firesales with 80% off). Bit of a tangent from the original post but anyone looking at skins/wrappz/whatever, steer clear of the PSP ones, they're horrendously bad, the DS ones work like a charm, the PSP ones just... don't!

The one posted shows two police men kissing. What on earth is the world coming too. That is simply wrong in my opinion (as I wait for the contrary comments etc............)
Aside, the price is good !

lol? Not know much about Banksy I guess...

Some are ok, I'll probably get one. Heat added. Pity the better ones are still a tenner or not featured...

There is also a site, decalgirl.com i think, that has loads of things just like this, got ones from there for the PS3, Wii and iPhone

yeah there are some nice ones there, plus there is a 15% voucher and 10% quidco available, but still a bit pricey for what they are

haha, definitely obscenely pricey for what they are!
Good point on the discounts, UrbanRetro are forever emailing me voucher codes and notifying me of sale items, I reckon most stores overprice the ones for the latest bit of kit (eg the new iPhone/iPod, Nintendo DSi etc) knowing that when that gizmo is a bit less popular they'll have to slash prices to shift whatever they have left.

As such it's worth signing up for any site mailing list and/or a bit of googling before buying if anything takes your fancy - UrbanRetro look like they're running down their stocks in some places (portable gaming used to have dozens, now has about 5, but they're all dirt cheap).

Definitely one of those things that splits people, you either think they're an overpriced tacky bit of plastic tatt, or a quick and easy way to protect your shiny device and give it a bit of personality. Both valid points ;-)
