Some very good ales to be had from the likes of Oakham Citra, Leeds Best, Youngs Chocolate Stout, Dark Star Sunburst, Harvest Pale ale and Sharps Wolf Rock amonst others.

Some very good ales to be had, after i left there were still 3 shelves full.

So what were the ales reduced to £1 a bottle - this deal is completely meaningless without knowing what it's for!

You are right to be a bit sceptical. There are some 500ml beers and ales that are always on offer, and some that never are. I suspect some a brewed to a budget. Asda often have 4 bottles for £5, with a good choice of good beers.

Sorry to clarify.

All the beers were at £1.65 or 4 for £5. and these were part of the beer festival that they have been running for the past month or so. And now the entire range is £1 a bottle.

End of the day, good ale £1 a bottle.

Own brand signature (very good). Some badger brewery offerings including Fursty Ferret. Plenty of decent stuff.

saw them earlier in Bargoed store, so assuming National. On end of aisle, lots of choice

Confirmed in Leeds too, so must be national. Just picked up 10 Citra and some Ilkley Siberia

Thanks for posting this OP.
I've just gone to my local & picked up the last 8 bottles of Citra, 8 bottles of Double Chocolate Stout, 2 Sunburst, 1 Honey beer & 1 Shearer.
Shame that they had sold out of Ilkley Siberia but the woman on the checkout told me to keep popping in as there may be more in the warehouse :-)

fullers ESB.

got a few 500ml £1 bottles at morrisons in peckham yesterday.

5.9% strength.

"marmalade fruitiness throughout"!!

not sure i like the sound of that - haven't tasted them yet but at least it's strong.

Fullers ESB is superb & a real steal at £1 per bottle!
I wish the Morrisons near me sold it as i'd have cleared the shelf by now!

Thanks for the heads up. Picked up a few over the weekend from Bham 5 ways.
The Wells sticky toffee pudding beer is cracking!

Went in today to buy a load more and there's hardly any left.
