I class this as spam. I've not spammed yet to see what others think, but Poundland have had books for ages - surprisingly at £1.

While they may have sold books at Poundland for quite a while it is good to be updated on which ones they are currently selling.

I've got some great books just lately from Poundland. Some people don't realise the quality of books in there for a £1. I got a hardback Terry Pratchett and some Horrid Henry books. There were also Michael Palin and Freddie Flintoff ones.

True, but then I'd take issue with the thread title "Various Books at Poundland"

Not exactly helpful.

If you look, many books get posted on here from poundland - you know the jewels in the rough.

Littlejohn and Tarrant, two giants in the literary world!

Prefer the Michael Morpurgo and Phillip Pullman that Ipswich poundland had a few weeks ago!

Yeah, but they have always been rubbish. These are fairly recent releases which are still good sellers.

The Hannibal Rising which I got for my mum and the childrens' book by Paul McCartney for my niece I got before Xmas didn't appear to be viewed as rubbish.

Not to mention the Don Simpson biography, High Concept, that I got for myself. Highly rated by all the movie magazines!

No they haven't.

Use the search. Plenty of decent books have been posted. What an arrogant statement to make!

Since you are clearly incapable of using the search tool, I've done it for you:

Don't be an idiot. Talking about arrogant statements and then coming away with crap like that about the search. Of course I know how to use a search.

Aah, fair enough. I had the wrong impression of them then, or have been unlucky every time in the past when I have looked.

I think it's a case of luck: when exactly you visit a branch and whether they've got stock.
Mine never has the decent DVD releases that people have been finding but plenty of books including the Phillip Pullman ones that someone mentioned. i suppose location plays a part.

Interesting statement that, coming from you.

If you know how to use the search, why do you claim the books have always been rubbish up to now?

If you read the thread you shall find the answer to that.
