Voted hot, but we never have any of these instore deals here.

Good spot though!
#9
Probably store specific.

Anyone seen them at a different store?

No point in me even bothering to look in our local store (Great Notley), they never have any of the deals featured on this site.
The only things they have on special offer is customer service with attitude and a borked carpark

i got an inspiron 530 q6600 quad core from tesco last Jan for £175, first and last time I ever saw a deal like that in my store (Lowestoft) they are great deals if you can find them
#13
Doubt whether in mine either

#15

Thanks OP.
None delivered to my local branch yet so they might be on tonight's delivery.

The E3300 one is a serious bargain for everyday computing! Great find.
#19
Store specific and u wont find it in tesco extra!! Maybe in some big store.

And e3300 is an intel celeron processor and e2200 is an intel dual processor(old one) not intel duo core, all good for everyday use i guess.

What is a BORKED car park??.

the large Homeplus near us very rarely has any of the instore deals posted.

the only success I've had is with the ' marked at £Y but scans @ £X ' deals , but the shop floor barcode scanner has now disappeared so that's hassle.

Whilst you are correct about them being a Celeron and a Pentium Dual core - don't assume they are slower than an equivalent Core2 Duo.

Passmark benchmark speeds:

Intel Celeron E3300 @ 2.50GHz ............... 1685
Intel Pentium Dual E2200 @ 2.20GHz.........1251

Intel Core2 Duo E4500 @ 2.20GHz.............1275 - only a fraction faster than the pentium at the same clock speed.
Intel Core2 Duo E6700 @ 2.66GHz.............1650 - faster clock speed than the celeron - but actually is slower

Quite so, the humble celeron is quite a good general purpose CPU for the average user.....

A dual core celeron is pretty good these days.

So they do provide some things nationwide then....

I didn't say it was a nation wide deal, I said they were at Eastbourne tesco store.

I meant the customer service attitude and crappy carparks lol

voted hot for learning the HDUK forum the term 'borked'
#38
Always assumed borked meant absolutely the same as one of those "F-words" ending in ed - just without an infraction.
#39
Nobody else found this in any other store then?
