After the success of 'The Edge of the 80s' it seemed only right & proper to continue the series. The logical next release is 'The Edge of the 70s'. This bumper 3CD collection serves up classic tracks from the late 70s as well as some more obscure gems, and tracks that have never been on CD before. The tracklist is assembled with care, and with a keen sense of how the album should flow. It's not "just another 70s album". It's for the discerning music fan, or anyone with a keen interest in the late 70s, an era that has inspired many of today's artists.

Worth it for disc 2 on it's own. Not often you see Bela Lugosi's Dead on a compilation.
#6
Much better than the usual punk/new wave compilations.

I never realised "Rock Lobster" was a 70's track!

I'm sure the (we are the) Mods will be less impressed to once more see the Jam on this type of compilation :p

Dangerous site this. I only came here to see if there were any deals on English Heritage, and ended up spotting and buying this!

The Edge Of The 80s was one of the best compilations of that decade to ever be released. Whoever compiles them (at a guess Now legend Ashley Abram?) really knows how to do it.
