Various Iams/Eukanuba BOGOFs at Pets at Home

Yup this is expensive pet food but thought I'd post anyway for the snobbier pet owners amongst us ;)

Since the postage is £4.99 this is only a good deal for those looking to bulk buy. Postage over £29 is free so if you don't mind stocking up you are probably going to save a lot of money here.

Then again maybe someone has some vouchers for free or reduced postage?

In either case, plenty of BOGOF offers for Iams/Eukanuba right now, for cats & dogs of all ages. Online only.

Cat BOGOFs (300g, 1kg, 3kg, pouches)
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/gifts/brands/iams-cat-dog-food/iams-cat-food/

Dog Iams BOGOFs (3kg bags)
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/gifts/brands/iams-cat-dog-food/iams-dog-food/

Dog Eukanuba BOGOFs (3kg bags)
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/gifts/brands/eukanuba-dog-food/

Even if you don't want to buy loads but usually buy Iams, you could buy 2 products with 2 free, still saving at least £5 with delivery included. e.g.

Iams Adult Complete Cat Food with Norwegian Salmon 1kg
£5.60

x2 = £11.20
= £16.19 with delivery

Normal cost for four bags would be £22.40

Eh last time I checked this wasn't a "vote your favorite brand" thread, but a deals site, where we post stuff that may help people out.

There are people who prefer to buy Iams/Eukanuba . This deal is for them. Take your nay saying to a pets forum not a deals site.

The last time I checked this wasn't an OP popularity contest, but a deals site. csiman states that this isn't worth the extra dosh, so voted cold.

There are many reasons why people vote a deal hot or cold and it isn’t just based on price or brand, the reason I have voted Iams cold is their appalling record on cruelty

For nearly 10 months in 2002 and early 2003, a PETA investigator worked undercover at Sinclair Research Center, a laboratory hired by Iams, and discovered a dark and sordid secret beneath the wholesome image of the dog- and cat-food manufacturer. Dogs had gone crazy because they were confined to barren steel cages and cement cells, dogs were left piled on a filthy paint-chipped floor after chunks of muscle had been hacked from their thighs, dogs were surgically debarked, and horribly sick dogs and cats were neglected and left in cages to suffer without any veterinary care.

Yes but that's like saying a BOGOF on heinz beans wouldn't be worth it because HP are cheaper and may contain better / healthier ingredients. We all have brand preferences, this isn't really a place to say which is best or vote cold to the brands we don't personally like or use.

It's a BOGOF on a premium brand, which is a good deal for those who buy said premium brand.

I personally don't like Iams, I'm still going through brands and am giving http://www.fish4dogs a go next. I honestly don't understand cold votes when you can save 50% on standard prices for this particular brand and product.

Show me the guidelines where it says we should be voting on price and price alone. This site is for "deals anarchy from the masses", and if members can point out where goods have been significantly overpriced, whether reduced or not, that only adds to the appeal of the site imho. Remember we're voting on the deal not the poster.

In what way is me pointing pet owners to information about the food they give their pets not in any way helpful.

If you havent got anything useful to add, then dont bother pal!

What helps more, posting a deal or bringing it down for no logical reason so that those who may have been interested might miss it?

I found your thread informative by the way, cheers.

Oh it's overpriced is it? Show me where you can get *these exact products* cheaper.

I don't care about another brand of petfood. This deal is for people who want Iams. What part of that is hard to understand?

This is another case of people failing to understand that just because a deal isn't for them, doesn't mean it isn't hot. Half price off a branded product? That's not a good deal? Riiiii..ght. :|

Do you get the feeling that it might be overpriced then, silkhuk? However their product is marketed and priced, Iams simply isn't worth the premium, even with your discount. This is being voted cold and with good reason. It's a vote on the deal, not on you. Stop being so defensive.

It's not that I'm being defensive, just frustrated that people pick and chose rules like this.

Is it a good deal for people who normally buy Iams anyway? Yes, in fact it's a very steep saving.

Is it a good deal for people who think Iams is overpriced no matter it's pricemark? No, but then again you've clearly got your own preferred brand so it's kinda irrelevant. Noone is asking you to switch. :/

Using the beans example again.

Today only! Heinz baked beans on BOGOF. HOT HOT HOT.. right?
According to the logic on this thread, I say nay, nay it is a poor deal. There are other better and cheaper beans out there.. HP for example, less sugar, less claories, and cheaper!

Therefore heinz beans aren't even worth half the asking price.

In reality of course, bogof on heinz beans would be voted hot. Yet it's the *exact same scenrario* and it's why I'm telling you people that you are in the wrong voting cold just because you don't like a brand. If everyone did that on every deal, how would people ever see stonking deals on their preferred brand.

Never stock up on cat food!
Just the presence of a large quantity of one brand or flavour in the house is enough to make both my cats decide it's rubbish and they'd rather eat baby birds.

I'm sure my last cat dies of spite after i stocked up on the only brand she'd eat (the vet said it was her kidneys but I know better!).

Ironically of my current pair the little tiny cat loves Iams for overweight cats, his fat brother won't touch the stuff!
