Various Sun creams - 200ml for £1.00

I was in my local poundland shop in Norwich today and noticed that they still have a range of sun creams on offer for just £1.

They were spf 8 and 15 which should be good enough for most people. I tried the spf 15 last year in Spain and it worked fine.

Generally I have noticed that sun creams I have seen are much more than £1 and closer to the £5 for 200 ml. This might save you a few quid when you go on your foreign hols this year.

I think I care too much about my skin to be putting some random sun cream from who knows where on it. I'll stick to Boots thanks - not a hot deal for me...

The active ingredients are the same in most sun creams..
You pay more simply for the perfume, differing moisterisers and advertising.

I prefer the spray on dry-oil types. Just bought some "Calypso" brand from Home Bargains today for £1.99. These don't need rubbing in and are much less hassle. They even have factor 30 in it - ideal for kids as its quick and easy to spray and a quick wipe over and you are done ( though get cream for kids faces)

Does anyone know if there is any truth about sun creams expiring?

I've always been told they do, but just wondered if it was a ploy started by the makers to make sure you chuck away your old and go out and buy some new next time you go off on your hols.
