Beware of cheaper de-icer, etc (not just Poundland's). It simply doesn't work in these temperatures.
#5
I guess you get your money's worth with poundland. Can't really complain, heat added.

My initial ice scraper glove broke on first use. Its just one of those things so make sure if you want one you buy two.
#7
when will ppl learn to just get up a little earlier and start the engine..put the window heaters on. simple. many times i see idiots with this rubbish..getting no where.

Same here. A good idea but the plastic gets brittle in the cold.
Works fine if you're not too heavy handed.

..and let someone drive away in our car? no thanks..plus why should we burn precious fuel for nothing?

I just stick a big dust sheet on mine, take it off in the morning and drive away no scraping :-) (was a bit wary of it sticking at first but apart from being soaked it's fine!)

Why waste fuel when you can spend 5 minutes with an ice scraper. You obviously have more money than sense..!!

The main problem comes when it's frozen on the inside as well!

Ta. Now I know where to go & get a few of these. heat
#16
Yeah, the ice scrappers aren't worth a quid. They snap, and then they can scratch up your screen.

No garage! :(

better off with halfords 3 for 2 offer, 1.99 for the ice breaker scraper and 2 de icers for 1.99 or 1.49 depending if u want a aerosol or liquid.

I purchased 2 of these one blue and one pink for the wife. I tried mine out this week. RUBBISH!!!! the scraper only clears a 1" wide strip, the scraper blade has been poorly made and is not straight. Maybe with a file a new edge could be put on it? The glove bit did keep my hand warm but they are a bit big to wear as everyday gloves, also i would look like Edward scraper hands.

Waste of garage space - that's for motorbikes, bicycles, lawnmowers, beer, fridge, tools, etc. etc. Cars in garages are for 'seniors' only: they have the time.

But seriously: garages are actually very bad for cars - put them away wet and they stay wet.

+ lets not forget the damage a engine can get from ticking over from cold..

If I need to, just use a wooden kitchen utensil it works great. Normally just start the engine and use the windscreen heater, a fab idea.

I can't be the only one to find it very annoying with engines running right outside your window - particularly when very early in the morning, polluting the atmosphere etc. Would rather only run the engine when I am out there and scrape/de-ice at the same time, I know its a pain but still...
