They are selling gears 1 and 2 for £2.99. Believe it when i see it!
#2
These prices have been like this for a while, but i think the staff have been told not to accept the bundle copies as trade ins anymore, or to put them in at the normal edition's price...?

Either way it's extremely rare to see the bundle packs in the preowned section for this price

I managed to get pure/lego batman, and forza 3 for £3 each there 6 months ago, but never bothered posting seeing as the availability's so limited
#3
is this not online ?
#4
As if. sorry.
#5
i got all excited reading this deal
#6
i have seen gears of war 1 and 2 for under £3 in gamestation

like a fool i didnt buy it.

however last week i got pure/batman and panda/ indiana jones for £6 in total

it is not really a deal, because it is so very rare these come up

Staff are retarded, 6/7 staff at least, would have thought one of em would have snapped up the Forza/Halo bundle!
#12
You probabily just got lucky. The nearest gamestation to me doesnt even sell these bundles
#13
I can see these bundles being true as I picked up the Viva Pinata/ Forza 2 up around 4 months ago for £3 and I was told there not meant to accept them and when they do they have to shift them out for a low price. Good luck finding them though.

Halo 3: ODST | Forza 3

OMG.

Gears of War | Gears of War 2

OMG.

Kung-Fu Panda | LEGO Indiana Jones

...
#15
Is this the same at Game?
#16
if anyone see`s the Halo 3: ODST | Forza 3 bundle at that price i`ll happily pay postage if you`d be so kind as to grab me one!!!!! :)
#17
If you're lucky enough to see one of these then go for it.

A few of my mates work for Gamestation and usually the staff grab these for themselves when they come into stock.

Yup, staff in the Leicester Cit Centre store actually had the nerve to admit that he and his work mates bought all the popular bundles and that the rest were sold off cheap to the general public. It's expected, I'm sure most people would do that. But to admit it to customers when making a general query is shameless. Haven't bought a thing from Gamestation since that admition.

Pointless, unneccesary and in no way funny sarcasm. If you agree with a staff member, in any store, admitting to a customer that they themselves bought a cheap deal that should be on offer to the general public then you have a rather rubbish idea on what customer service is all about.

So you didn't appreciate the heads up that you were unlikely to find any of the good bundle deals in that particular store?

I know i would have...

Plus you can't really blame the staff in these stores taking advantage of these offers when they're cutting their hours down, etc.
#23
would love to get forza 3 at this price
#24
why not bag a wireless entertainment pack with pure/batman bundled games £16.99 is cheap for the controller alone, inc free delivery.

Why should it be?

When I worked retail it was one of the perks of the job that staff got first dibs on the new releases, the reductions and so on. Nothing unethical or unfair about it.

You may not like it, but "the general public" don't always come first - and not offering something for sale is hardly bad customer service...
#26
not sure if anyone lives in barrow in furness here but the gamestation there has boxes of these, just ask one of the staff members, i was there today and there was at least 2 boxes full of bundle deal games, they are just sat behind the counter. grabbed a couple myself,

And at least they are open about it - you don't boycott *insert supermarket name* because the staff get all the nearing-shelf-life food for 90% off!

Crikey, just because they work at the store, it doesn't mean they are forbidden from buying these cheap items. As a guy above said, there is nothing unfair or unethical about this, and them admitting it to you just shows that they were honest, and trying to save you wasting your time. If you think being honest is poor customer service then so be it :whistling:

An *insert supermarket name* sacked me because I was doing just that. Although it was more like 99% off in my case. I got 2 years out of it though so I did quite well. Good on the Gamestation lads. You pay peanuts then you get chimps....chimps that take all the cheap stock.
#30
I honestly don't think they are doing any harm and I'm not just saying that because one of my closest mates works there.

I actually feel very sorry for Gamestation staff at the moment since they are now really having the corporate hammer thrown down on them after the take over from Game and most of them work there out of a passion for the industry and chances are that they are paid less than almost all of us in this thread.

If it was any one of us then we would do exactly the same.
#31
There's no Gamestation within about 30 minutes of me, but I've a friend living close to one elsewhere so I'll have to make a phonecall tomorrow!

Thanks for the heads up! :D

+1 on this :)

Some of my colleagues send customers on a wild goose chase, bugs the hell out of me, at the end of it they just think you were blagging em!
