Isn't this actually £2,000 off the RRP (which no one normally pays) rather than a genuine £2,000 off a good deal price ?

Con for the gullible to indulge in. And it states "Up to £2,000 Scrappage Allowance towards selected new cars". There are going to be all sorts of hoops and jumps to get the deal you could have got anyway, and that would still be a poor deal.

Great deal if it comes without the small print that came with the last time they did this, ie minimum MOT left on the car 3 months etc. Went on the Vauxhall website and its all very vague.

Most Vauxhall are overpriced by £2000 in the first place

Buy a new upmarket Insignia and lose about 40% in the first year

I wonder what would happen if you negotiate price first and then tell them you'd like the scrappage discount

£2000, try £4000. Anyone who has paid full list for a Vauxhall has been seriously screwed. Their list prices are made up in dream land!

Vauxhall should be paying customers to drive their horrendous vehicles.

Saw an article about this on Honest John website yesterday - Fiat will also give you £2500 off a Fiat 500x.

Was considering this but felt the Vauxhalls were overpriced even with the scrappage saving.

Was perfect when I got 2k for my X ref focus that on its last legs, and they also chucked in interest free payments which was ideal.
A brand new corsa for £179 a month is cheaper than most lease deals and you get to keep the car.
