as i said if you missed out on scrappage and want to upgrade to a new 60 plate with life time warranty (or 100,000 miles), this could be for you.

to see the full terms click the "go to deal"

With the 60" LCD TV??

If it wasn't for the two cars and tv, I would have bought one for defo!

Joking aside, good price, there are others on the website, on corsa's, astra's etc, but this is the cheapest car on the site!

Good find, heat added!

yeah you cant argue with bargains like that! :D

This looks like a really good deal. The used prices are about or near this figure... so if you want a new and potentially hassle free years this should do the job
#6
looks too good to be true!!!!!!!!!
#7
Do you have to swap a car to get the £6500? So if my car is worth c£1800ish the real cost of the deal is £8300? Or do I sell mine private and get a £50 quid banger to trade in??

Potentially interested, massive saving on RRP

Up to 55.4 mpg

Thought 1.4 would be petrol, is this figure for petrol or diesel?

£18,145
save 9,546

=8600

So they are giving 2100 for the swap?

well they have an online chat service if you have any Q&A's

It is the old model but a decent price.
Mind you, you have to laugh at the RRP! £18,145!!!!
For a Corsa max!!

Erm-m-m.
What's this in the small print?

Not Bad deal if you have an old banger and after this type of vehicle as even though this price is not that much less than a 10 plate at Motorpoint you get a car that no one else has had and a 100,000 miles vauxhall lifetime warranty....

I would be very interested if my job was safe but it aint !!!

Have some heat

I've driven this model a few times, it's just so dull. If you're not after a flash motor then fine, otherwise steer clear.
#13
was this the model on watch dog? the one with intermitant power steering?
#14
How does it compare to http://www.kia.co.uk/New-Cars/Range/Compact/Rio/Offers/Switch.aspx which is available for a tad more. Am interested in getting fback on other swappage schemes available elsewhere as well

Yep, the power sterring keeps failing on the Old shape Meriva

The real question is how much is it when NOT on a finance package - I asked online but they cant tell you - will call my local branch and see what they say.
#17
you can pay cash the lump sum if you don't want the finance, that's what they told me.
#18
Thought this would be useful for some. Also, reading the small print, the scrappage car needs to be owned by you for 90 days or more.

Iain at Peter Vardy: Hello, How may I help you?
You: Hi - what is required to obtain a Meriva at 6499?
You: Sounds too good to be true
Iain at Peter Vardy: it includes swappage and partners
You: So is it dependent on the value of the part-ex vehicle?
Iain at Peter Vardy: you must have a car 7 years or older
You: of any value?
Iain at Peter Vardy: if it 7 years or olderr then you qualify also you must qualify for partners scheme
You: what are the qualification criteria?
Iain at Peter Vardy: you or a family member must work for GM or certain large UK companies or be a member of Unison
You: Ah, so HM Forces not likely to be eligible.
Iain at Peter Vardy: you would qualify then
You: So literally, 7 year old car in part-ex of any value, and the fact that I'm HM Forces would be sufficient for me to purchase a Meriva for 6499 in cash? Is that owned outright or lease scheme?
You: Sorry for the scepticism - it seems like a very good deal.
Iain at Peter Vardy: thats ok you would qualify for that price where do you live
You: Near Dundee.
Iain at Peter Vardy: your closet branch is Perth
You: Is that owned outright or is it a lease scheme?
Iain at Peter Vardy: you can finance it various ways
You: But I could just pay cash, bring a 7 year old car in part ex and pay 6499 or is the price conditional on a finance scheme?
Iain at Peter Vardy: no but if you want a metallic colour it would be 549 more
You: sorry - what was the no in respect of?
Iain at Peter Vardy: what do you mean
You: OK, can I purchase this car for 6499 cash + 7 year old part-ex? Or is it dependent on a finance scheme?
Iain at Peter Vardy: yes you can no finance required
You: ok, thank you!
Iain at Peter Vardy: your welcome
#19
Looks like a cracking deal. Especially with the 'lifetime' warranty.
#20
Up to 55.4 mpg

Yeah, downhill in neutral maybe.

Reading small print, the lifetime 100000 mile warranty is dependant on the finance (EDIT - its the 3 years free servicing, not the warranty)

Free Servicing offer is valid for 3 years and is avaliable only on a 4 to 5 year finance package, applies to the vehicle and is non-transferrable.

Not a deal breaker for me but may be for others.

Got one of these for my father in law - got it without finance, cash deal (+ road tax) - all in all a stonking bargain for someone who likes Merivas (my FIL). Brand new 60 plate (first owner) full Vx warranty etc.
