£25 including 12 months Roadside Assistance.
No obvious definition of t&c for the roadside assistance. Other than some fulid top-ups, I'm not sure I'd want to pay £25 to receive some repair quotations.

Ah Vauxhall, cold for me, would rather walk
Was perfect when I got 2k for my X ref focus that on its last legs, and they also chucked in interest free payments which was ideal.
A brand new corsa for £179 a month is cheaper than most lease deals and you get to keep the car.
Saw an article about this on Honest John website yesterday - Fiat will also give you £2500 off a Fiat 500x.

Was considering this but felt the Vauxhalls were overpriced even with the scrappage saving.

I bought an ex demonstrator Corsa VXR almost three years ago and the depreciation has been terrible. It has now done 12,000 miles and initially seemed pretty slow. Bigger injectors and a stage 2 remap sorted this out. Unfortunately, this is not feasible with lease cars although the price on this deal is good IMHO when compared to the depreciation.
VXR power event ex-demo?
Did the insurance cost much more with the upgrades?

No a Vauxhall Dealer ex demo and yes it costs more to insure with mods.

There not bad cars really, went on a vx power event at Oulton park a few years ago, quite nice to drive with plenty of grunt.

and got a high speed lap (well fairly high :D ) with this chap https://www.facebook.com/jonathanadamracing/

was quite entertaining...

''I have owned my current VXR since 2010 from new and with just 32k on the clock''
''I really like my VXR but it's getting a bit tired after 5 years of going to an airport once a week''
Tired after 32k/5 years !,jeez should be just run in and at its prime.
Not for me then this deal...

Perfect deal for you as it's only 3 years.

TBH I think it's mostly tired due to the lack of use. only gets the long run now and again which helps to clean it out.

who the heck drives less than 5000 miles a year? (other than old people who just own a car to pop to the shops twice a week)
it is a vxr which is very well reviewed and liked. compared to other small hot hatches around the deal is not that good when polo gti or 208 gti can be had for 20ish/month less

£5000 for 5000 miles plus insurance, tax etc. Not a deal for me! The haters will swarm on this, good luck! I do like the look of this but think the Peugeot 208 Gti previously was a better deal.
Tax is free.

.

Ok free tax then, but will have to spend extra on new wheel bearing joints due to vauxhall not upgrading them from a standard corsa even though 205bhp. On a good note my wife had a corsa and not had a single problem, but then you shouldn't with this either doing 10k miles in 2 years.
Do a lot of work on cars and never heard of a wheel bearing joint in my life. Do you mean ball joint, cv joint or wheel bearing

Always thought GM Motors was an American company.

Most Vauxhalls sold in the UK are designed, developed and engineered by Opel in Germany. Of course Opel is owned by GM. They are made in various countries.

However, in this case the Viva is developed by GM's Korean company.

People on here seem to hate most cars that aren't German. This is a simple car that's perfect for the type of driver that will be doing mostly short journeys and lets them get around freely for less than bus fair.

Vauxhall is German ;)

Also, this isn't much of a deal when the likes of the Citroen Cactus could be had recently for £117 p/m on a 2 year lease. A much nicer and better equipped car -- with no requirement to get a MOT in the 3rd year like on this Vauxhall....and air conditioning/alloy wheels etc.

I found the best internet price for a new Golf GTI that I could find, then got confirmation in writing from the on-line trader of that price including options.
Armed with that I walked into my local VW dealer and said if you match this price, I'll order right now. Faced with losing a sale, the salesman came back ten minutes later with a price that was very close to on-line, so I ordered there and then. He said that it was the quickest sale of a new car that he had ever done.
Moral of this story is do your research before you hit the showroom. Salesman admitted that without my research, he never would have offered anywhere close to the price that I shall be paying. Same thing applies with the finance!

yep exactly what I said

get the best internet price

any decent dealer should get close to it, given the evidence - and close should be good enough given their better service :)
Avoid the car salesmen when buying new. I had a hard time getting my local dealer to even call me back to discuss a car. Ended up on carwow.co.uk and getting a car much cheaper from a dealer 30 miles away. I saved much more, and still picked the car up myself.

[quote=bruceboy]He must have seen you coming. What an absolute load of ****. Arnold Clark, what a fecking joke.
The discount on a brand new Mokka is several thousands. Are you new to car buying?
The salesman said the offer was not advertised. Run for the hills when you hear that![/quote
Thanks bruceboy, if you can tell me where you can get a new or pre-reg Mokka 1.7cdti se for several thousands off £15,995 I would be interested. Give my regards to Anthea.
Not sure why you would want the 1.7 diesel, noisy as a fecking noisy thing, it has been replaced with a 1.6 'whisper' diesel. Just search any large dealer website. My local dealer has 6K off list on the 1.6 petrol SE, probably pre-registered 15 plate.

These kind of offers/discounts are available any time if you are prepared to ask for it and haggle a bit over your deal. Try asking for 3 years of servicing, or just a plain cash discount.

But great for those who don't like to haggle.

Give it a try for 3 days, what do you have to loose.
Nice offer and shows confidence in their products. Are Vauxhalls any good these days? I had an Astra about 20 years ago. It was a very capable little thing, even if a bit dull. Seems all company car drivers want BMW these days.
Eligibility: The Vauxhall 3 Day Test Drive Programme is open to all company car drivers (VAT-registered or VAT-exempt companies only) possessing a valid credit card1 and a current EU driving licence that has been valid for at least one year (endorsements will be considered on an individual basis). Drivers must be 25 years or over to be able to participate in the Programme. Drivers aged 21-25 will be required to obtain authority from their company Fleet Manager in order that the vehicles may be insured under that company's own insurance policy. Alternatively they may provide a copy of their own insurance cover.

and in the latest service they said I need wheel alignment and tracking urgently but when I had it check from another reputed dealer they said it's absolutely fine. So once again they proved that they are just another piece of garbage with a whole purpose of ripping their customers
Read the post first as I have written that they charged me for full service and haven't even done the partial service apart from leaving the service book empty. Will never buy a vauxhall again from these shady dealers
drharishgarg
avoid vauxhall dealer service or MOT as they are total rip offs. I have purchased brand new vauxhall astra from Wolverhampton branch and they are absolutely rubbish in customer service. I have paid full price for 2 years service but they have done routine or intermittent service and nothing filled in my service book. Complaints to head office and they given me voucher of £150 for third year service. my first MOT is due on 12th October and I have booked through my local council mot office. At least I know they will not try to find any unnecessary faults.

So you're unhappy because they forgot to fill in the service book and gave you £150 as an apology?
Wow, they treated you so badly, i would sue for mental trauma at the very least.

Can't fault my local dealers, they have done my last three MOT's (no problems found) and all the services on my 7 year old astra (again no problems). Just had a service and sheduled timing belt change all for £250 using service club discount which was a bargain.

I use a vauxhall main dealer to service my vectra.
Their price is as cheap as my long term mechanic 20 years.
they charge £72.00 inc vat an hour.
With master fit card comes down to £54.00 an hour.
Thet also are happy to fit parts i supply ie coil spring brake pads and glow plugs.
They fitted 2 rear springs and 4 glow plugs on last service for 1.5 hours labour £81.00.
a fair price i think.
No all main dealers are a rip off.
it's worse than that if you use the online fixed service price, you can't use this voucher or the discount card as the online fixed price is too good, local stealers words not mine, so basically they want to add on extra to the service cost before discounting it. some dealers also claim if you get free parts they have to be fitted by them, lol. lots of info on various vauxhall forums. by all means use the card for a half price mot as this is the only thing I have ever been allowed to use it for. I would agree your title is misleading by the way.
That's just a transparent sales opportunity for the garage - you might get a cheap not and a voucher, but you'll pay for it three times over when they change your brake pads for £200.
It's not a free £25 service though is it. It's a £25 voucher to use against a service, so bit of a misleading title.

Edit - just seen that this can be used for parts. In that case it's a great freebie!

We have an insignia, a 2.0 CDTI Sri, never again would we buy a vauxhall, was ok for the first wee while then the problems started, been brought home from various trips by the RAC and had numerous problems 'fixed', can't wait to get rid of it in the next few months. Just no idea what to get now.

I had an Insignia 2.0 CDTI Sri which I drove for over 30k miles. The only issue I had was with the DPF which did not regenerate correctly. It was my own fault though, as too many short journeys and using a tuning box. I bought the car before I got a local job, so the problem could not be avoided. Maybe that was your problem? Other than that, the Insignia was a great car and I would recommend it to anyone.

Whatever you do choose next, I can guarantee there will have been an owner of it with a similar story to yours.
i bought my Corsa on a similar deal 2 years ago and no problems - touch wood. the monthly payment is the same as buying a better car secondhad, except it is new and therefore no MOT etc for 3 years. do the maths but for me, buying the new corsa costs me slightly less than buying secondhand and that doesn't count the 100000 mile warranty (as i will most likely never need that). this IS hot, personal prejudices of some notwithstanding.
dvdbargainhunter
I looked at an Astra GTC after seeing a full page advert in a national newspaper offering it at £229 a month and 0% finance.

Turned up to buy it, and it turned out that this was an "vauxhall associates" only deal. And I don't work for one of the companies on the list. It was a complete con, you can't advertise a national deal when it's not available to everyone. Told the dealer to stick their deal where the sun don't shine and bought another BMW instead.

You should've made a complaint to the ASA. The ones I've seen like that have the notice in the footer about the partners/associates discount.

Booo vauxhall are no good. Cylinder head major problem with them. All the machanics i know advise to stay well away. From my own experience the machanics advice was absolutely spot on. Wouldnt have one for free.

"wouldn't have one fir free" Liar!

Do you really want to be seen driving a Vauxhall for THREE whole days???????

Come on, 15 minutes you may just about get away without being seen ... but three days????

All those hours on the hard shoulder waiting for the breakdown van ..... how exciting ......

:D

what do YOU drive?
Has anyone recently got a test drive out??

It's never a good time to buy a Corsa, plus if you can't get at least £500+ off from the list price without a discount voucher, you need to have a word with yourself.....

completely and utter incorrect mate
We get 50+ mpg out our CDTI and apart from new tyres, has only cost us a service in each of the last 5 years.

There is never a good time to buy a Corsa.

You could say that about any car.. It's all down to preference... personally it wouldn't be the car for me now but years ago I had a corsa and it was perfect at the time

Had a corsa 05 for over 6 years. Not a single fault, not too bad for their pricing. But ye, deal wise. No good.

£25 off a vastly overpriced service, which can be done for half the price and better at your local garage, that actually hire Mechanics, Where at Vauxhall they are all 'Technicians'

vauxhall's efficiency is still poor compared to others. The Co2 emissions is very bad compared to modern cars. Automatic is living in 1990's it seems. But saying all this deal is hot.

I'd stay clear of Vauxhall
I agree, not because their terrible. just that for 12-13k there is much better options. Hyundai i20, vw polo, kia ceed,Toyota yaris, ford fiesta etc... Vauxhall are like Renault, laughable reliability.
Previous vauxhall's had some pretty decent parts like the Epsilon platform in the vectra c but poor build quality and poor quality of some parts prevented a successful package. Family have all had problems with vecta, astra and corsa.

Vauxhall seem to be catching up with other more premium brands regarding fitment quality. I had the new Shape astra (1.4 turbo) as a hire car and it felt vert well put together and went well for such a small turbo engine. My mate has an insignia diesel Sri which goes well but at 3 year's old and 40k miles required some front suspension arm work.

I personally prefer the build feel and handling of Fords so that's where i would put my cash....think fords are quite expensive now though. Good deal.
Please remember to keep your comments to the deal and not personnel opinion, this always happens on here with car deals. If you like this car it's a good deal end of. Please try and resist telling people what they should buy as this would suggest that you know better than the individual and judging by the comments it would appear that isn't the case. I've had many unpopular cars based on what I myself like and have never really been disappointed as I liked them for a multitude of reasons. Lots of stories posted about why not to buy based on personnel experience and all I can say on that is if in life you only try something once due to a bad experience you'd end leading a very boring life. Brussel sprouts would cease to exist :)

even my mom said her temp corsa was slow and thats coming from a basic new ford fiesta...

get a ford or a jap car much better

Are you american? fords are on the same level as vauxhalls. What jap cars do you recommend? Mitsubishis can be poor, hondas can be great.... Depends. Overal jap cars are lacking internal luxuries compared to german cars.... such as bmw, mercedes, vw, skoda...etc.

So over all my advice is go for a bugatti you senseless fools.

If you pay £12,000 for a brand new German car, you'd definitely get more of a car if you were to pay the same price for a jap car, plus the warranties you get with a jap car are very reasonable these days.
