am in same boat as u lol which 1 his or the dyson this seems a good price which includes 6 year gurantee

Got one for doing the car. Seems fairly well built and great suction. I doubt it will be as good as an upright for carpets, purely due to the lack of a belt powered brush, but it does go quite well

well give it some use earlier on a new rug, and has good suction, sucked all the bits out of it no probs. the turbo "air powered" bruch certainly shifts too!. As ive never used a dyson cylinder (uprights only) i cant compare.

very good price for what it is though...

Seems that when i reserved it, i reserved it at two stores by mistake  , and the second one has just arrived instore :whistling:

so if anyone wants one, theres one reserved at coventry city arcade branch, under reservation number 688392

Anybody know if the 6 year guarantee is actually worth it?
#12
I have had this for a year now - FANTASTIC!

They have also got the Vax Performance Pets Bagless Cylinder Cleaner for £73.39 lest then half price which has been there for a long time and can be bought for that price, but when you compare the two this one excels in all areas with 2400 watts power compared to 1400 watts for the VAX Force 3 VZL-118P Pet Bagless Cylinder Vacuum .

Dont actually think that raw wattage power comes into play with Vacuum Cleaners, the air wattage is the rating to look at. This has 250W Air Power..what does the 2400W power one have in relation to air power?

I can not find the air power for the exact model but for a similar model VAX V-091C with 2400W the Air Power is 310W

Vax VZL-118PS Force 3 Pets & Stairs - Which? score: 49%

Note 118PS rather than 118P but Which? says:

This Vax machines does a good job on carpet and laminate, but if youve got wooden floorboards there are better machines for your money.
You can only vacuum close to walls and corners with one side of the standard nozzle, so its best to switch to another nozzle to vacuum the edges of the room.
Despite the pet reference in the title, we found it performed poorly on pet hair it will lift it but its time-consuming. The machine doesnt sit well on stairs, so we didnt find it well suited to that job, either.
The container is good at keeping dust in once its been sucked up, but some smaller particles may escape there are better models for allergy sufferers.
The dust container is quite big, youll need to use both hands to empty it, and when changing the filter its difficult to replace in it the correct position. Energy use could be better, but its not particularly noisy compared with many machines.
There are six different nozzles and brush heads with this model and not all can be stored on the appliance.

Pros: Good at cleaning carpet and laminate
Cons: Slow at picking up pet hair, not suited to floorboards

I nearly posted this but when I posted a half price vax deal at tesco last week I was told they are a pile of pap and the thread didnt get any heat. So didnt bother.

Good deal if you want this.

I need two new vacs. Both ours broke. We have dogs and get quite a bit of pet hair. The turbo head has broken on our Dyson within two years and the last dyson vac broke completely within a couple of years. A new turbo head is £40 so this seems like a no brainer ?

FOr that which review what is the review price of the machine, if its at full price £130 thats a bit misleading as this seems quite cheap for the money.

WHat else can you get that is better for the price ?
#19
Although one has a 6 year guarantee and one doesn't?

It seems there are two models

V-091PB has a 1 year guarantee

V-091PBA Has a 5 year guarantee
#20
also worth pointing out is the fact that the Vax Force VZL-118P (this deal) has "no loss of suction technology", whereas the more powerful Vax V-091PB doesnt.... so maybe they made it less powerful as it doesnt need to suck through the blockage??? i notice the reviews http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001151&langId=-1&searchTerms=V-091PB&Submit=GO+%3E for the V-091PB at argos werent great with people saying it clogs really easy. (which i why i went for this one...)

the 6 year warranty is at home service too.... IE, dont take back to the shop

Well I just picked one of these up and thought I would give my thoughts we have two dogs one is a husky that leaves alot of fur !

We are on our second dyson and 4th turbo brush head, turbo brush are good for getting up hair but they always break in my experience within 6 months or so if you have alot of dog hair. We got a morphy richards pet cyclone with turbo brush just for upstairs and that died within 6 months (brush died and hose broke)

Anyway this has a small turbo tool for stairs couchs etc which is made of clear plastic and looks easy to clean when problems arise. Its also got a combi head with 2 modes for carpet and hardwood floors.

It seems to work quite well it needs a bit of effort to get all the hair up but as there is no moving parts its not going to break unlike the turbo head. This is probably why they offer a 6 year warranty.

Anyway its got very good suction its picked up a load of dirt and hair that the £250 dyson missed before the head broke. So for £70 I would say its pretty good value and worth a punt especially seing as a new turbo head for the dyson is £40 !
