Wouldnt touch another Vax vacuum cleaner ever again, coincidence I have just chucked ours down our local rubbish tip today, whilst its not the same model as this, its exactly the same upright design (Turboforce v006) which got as shocking reviews as I had the misfortune to find were true...

If this model is the same expect more noise than necessary from the motor, a gradually degrading suction (took the unit apart to find NO blockages), poor floor level adjustment, poor hepa filter design in the centre of the dust compartment making it very messy to empty and clean out excess dust from the filter, too heavy, bad ergonomics, poor flex of hose cabling....the list goes on and on and on...

It has agood reviews on the tesco site. Also - the non allergy model which is exactly the same but not improved gets good reviews. Will let you know in a few days. 6 Year warrentee too. If no good its going back!

Same hear they are just skip fodder :x

My thoughts in relation to a DieSome that we once owned. Vax are at least substantially cheaper than a brand that falls apart really rather regularly.

Dyson - get nothing else.

Not according to most reviews on Argos and a few friends who own a dyson. Thought about it but too expensive and not that great value for money

Don't agree. Dyson are terrible. I had 3 dysons (they were faulty and exchanged) before I finally found a Bissell Pet Vacuum which is really working and very solid. Also cheaper than a Dyson.

i would go for a bissell but where can you get the filters cheap?

i can get the dyson filters cheap

I don't know what model Dysons they purchased by the DC07 & DC14 is highly recommended. Backed by a 5 year guarantee you cannot go wrong.

Buy in the sales.... agree at full price its pretty pricey.

Must be unlucky or something we hoover at least 3 times a week kids & that. I would happily buy again.

This is the worst vacum cleaner I have ever owned! Bits have broken off now it does not work at all and I have only had it since february!! I would not recommend this at all and wish I would have paid an extra ten pounds to get a henry!! Which is where I am going to buy one now!! Just wasted 80 pounds on this vacum, DO NOT BUY!!!!
