Tip:The price for this item at the moment is full price, but if you reserve it today for instore collection, you are given until the end of tuesday to collect. As you pay the price instore at the time of collection you are effectively reserving it at the sale price, but in advance of other sale hunters. This obviously applies to any other item in the sale for instore collection:santa: .

I bought this at this price 2 months ago, took it back last week and got a new one as it broke
#5
Ah, they're not very well made or just accidental breakage?

:santa:

Well, in the last year mums had 3 replacements, 2 months in im on my first replacement.

For £60 i aint going to moan as argos just take them back and you get a new one :)

Not very well made, notorious for leaking.

Hiya, Having 2 kids under 2 I really need a carpet cleaner - I was just going to hire that one that homebase have but if this is any good at cleaning may buy it instead - cheaper and handier in the long run - can anyone let me know how good it is please?

PS MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I would say its fairly ok, i dont wanna moan for £60, when ive hired carpet cleaners in the past, theyve been such hard work, having to spray everywhere the suck it up, its nice and light aswell.

My carpets look clean, saying that my lounge carpet is chocolate brown so doesnt really show muck anyway :giggle:

im not sure but does this vacuum clean as well or is it just a carpet washer ???

You must vacuum first before cleaning - otherwise you'll just gum it up. Probably why there are reports that they break so easily?

I'm really tempted by this 'cos the Rug Doctor from Homebase is such a pain to organise. This you just keep in the cupboard and wheel out regularly.

Nearly bought one when it was last reduced - sort of talking myself into it really:-D

I dont use mine as a hoover, i hoover up before i wash my carpets.
My mum who has a slightly better model also hoovers before.

When i took mine back to argos they said they are popular, but they do also get returned alot, so it must be a common problem.

There is also a filter that you clean on the washer itself, its the most tiniest thing youll ever see though, about 4cms by 1cm!
