Only scores 40% in the Which review. Suppose to leave carpet quite wet.

3 out of 5 - Washing
1 out of 5 - Drying
2 out of 5 - Ease of use

Although that's at £129 - So I guess for £34.49 you can't really grumble.

Another piccy

Great price, heat added

Out of interest W1zz what came top in the Which report?
#3
Is the offer on now, or it is in next weeks Marco mail?
#4
That's a very good price it's not all that bad, I would prefer this to the upright one I have.
#5
Excuse me for being a bit dim here but can these be used as just a hoover ?
Mainly tiled floors in ours:)
#6
Buyers beware Makro have a tendancy to put these SUPER offers in the Makro mail and then only get 5 per store meaning the people in there a 7am get the lot......Just in case anyone is going to make a special visit for this.

link to web site does not work. Been on the site the manual way and I can't see the deal.

Bought the Bissell Quickwash upright 'refurb' (actually new) listed here a few weeks back for £34.21 delivered and it's excellent (delivery a bit slow though). Amazing how much dirt comes out of a 'clean' carpet!

Ref other comments on this thread - I've been amazed by how dry the bissell gets the carpet immediately. My fears about wet carpet for hours (esp at this time of year) were unfounded.

Still available: http://www.bisselldirect.co.uk/special-offers/

Considering it costs £40.00 to hire a carpet cleaner for 24hrs this looks pretty damn good.

Don't hold out much hope with Makro though. Even their website is f****d.

Good spot though.
#11
Dont you need a Makro card to gain entry to the store? Or have things changed?
#12
yeah for £40 that's quite worth taking the risk and see how good it works.

I got one of these last year from Littlewoods (£70 with a £30 code, so £40) It is a pile of ****. Tried several times to 'clean' things with it. Basically it just makes things very wet. If you hire a rug dr it will at least clean your floors and suck the dirty water up. This soaks the floor with clean water, spreading the dirt around a bit more and then leaves it there. Absolute rubbish, not worth £34. I bought a Vax upright new one and it is 200 times better.

if thats of any help to anyone. would be interested to hear from anyone who has used one.

I did notice a fair stack of these in Makro in Preston this morning.

jtd, this is a carpet washer only, not a combined vacuum/washer like the orange ones.

AS posted on page 1. Got this for £40 last year, not worth it rubbish, just soaks your dirty carpets. Does not clean properlyand is difficult to use. I bought a Vax upright when they were half price and it is soo soo much better and well worth the £80 I paid for it. I wouldn't touch this for £5.

makro washington just got a load of these in this morning - few bad comments but for 35.00 ill take the chance, ideal for valeting the car even, i have professional carpet dryer so not a problem to me

Morrisons hire out carpet cleaners for about £16 for 24hrs. About £6 on top of that for detergent. What does a £40 cleaner get you?!!
#21
ok i just tested the all floors version which came with main cleaner, 2 bottles of solution an upholstery head, a large wet floor cleaning head and also a large dry floor head for hoovering carpets and laminate

i tested it on my civic type r car mats which were to be quite honest very dirty and it brought them up like brand new and unlike previous posts say it was dry

would deff reccomend

Morrisons near me were not doing the cleaner hire at that time.

That was not even the cheapest. I had been quoted £75 by one company so £40 at the time seemed acceptable.

just curious if this is as good as the bissell or not, opinion seems a bit divided, do many people own these, are they any good? the only advantage i can see with this over the bissell is the ease of stairs and cars, something the bissell doesnt seem to offer!

See my contribution earlier - would certainly recommend the Bissell (but it's true it won't do car or stairs).

has anybody else had experience of this product yet

Thinking about this or the bissell - which one is better
