This is my first post on this site. Just saw this advertised on a the tube on another boring journey on the district line. Thought I would check it out and it looks very good. Just ordered two sim cards.

Vectone Mobile offerering free sim cards and some great deals to call and text various countries.

For example:

India 1p a minute and unlimited free texts to India!

Loads more smaller rates and offers at http://www.vectonemobile.co.uk/

Check it out folks!

50p cashback (more if you buy a TopUp straight away), when you order a SIM via Quidco/TopCashback.

The standard rates...

UK Landlines 5p/min
UK Mobiles 10p/min
National Texts 5p/SMS
Mobile Internet 10MB FREE EveryDay
Voicemail 5p/min
MMS 25p/MMS

full list is here

Calling European Landlines is very cheap (1p a minute), but calling a non UK mobile is quite expensive (ie: Calling Germany is 10p on Three vs 19p on Vectone)

I have ordered a GiffGaff SIM the other day, moving away from Three's Flat12 (13p per minute / 15p voicemail + 150MB + 200SMS with every top-up) , but this appears like another good alternative. Hmmmm....decisions, decisions.

Good for casual visitors to the UK, but watch the credit retention rules (ie 30 days) 8)

Worst customer service and online information handling experience, I ever had

i would never go for vectone, even if they offer completely free service

Germany left Europe? They missed that on the news, must be all this snow. ;)

Anyone has tried this mobile company before?
Just wonder how's the call quality local and international.
Saw that they are having promotion of top up £20 and free £20

Currently using Lebara for international call.

I would highly avoid this company. Their customer service is pathetic. They claim to have 24hrs customer service but never answer the phone and when they do you can't understand a thing that they are saying. It took me nearly two weeks to get my phone number switched to vectone mobile and I'm glad that I am now leaving them as I got fed up with their poor customer service. Their free internet doesnt work and they dont reply back if you email them.
A huge no no!!!

Give them a call, lets see exactly how useful/useless their CS department is.

Dial 111, free from your Vectone Mobile or 020 7179 0134 from any other phone.

Does the fact they offer "caller tunes" mean they are using T-Mobile as a network provider?¿

Absolutely rubbish customer service - I topped up my mums sim and they debited it twice. have rang over ten times - n get no answer for 15 minutes and then they hang up. No wonder its cheap if they are charging you double.
