Good rice this.

Excellent deal and find. Many thanks to you.

Nice rice, Just got back from ASDA & was about to post this myself. Great deal, sainsburys& tescos currently have the same rice @ 3 for £3 or £1.44 each !!!!
#4
I agree, definitely the best micro rice you can get!

Tesco normally do 2 for £2, and I've also randomly seen this in my local 99p store and thought that was a good deal but this is way better! =]
#5
:thumbsup:In my local sainsburys these are about £1.50 per pack. Great Deal. Fantastic Rice
#6
Just had one - love them!

Better than Tilda?
#8
Yep, these are much better than Tilda and comparable 'bag' microwave rices. This one looks and tastes almost as good as freshly made rice. Excellent product for the price, you can save a lot by not having to order rice with your chinese/indian takeaway, just stick this in the microwave for 2 minutes and you're done.

Cheers. Usually do that but we have Tilda. Gotta go to Asda on way home from work so will pick a few up to try!

Great rice this, I go through two packs a week in stir frys. Its usually 2 for £2 in Tesco, but recently its been 3 for £3 (stuff that!).

Hint: better than microwaving, get your wok out, bit of olive oil, bit of chili and/or garlic if you fancy, three minutes in the wok = pure yum.
#11
good rice - good price - hot
#12
I actually prefer the Tilda Lime and coriander myself but this would be my second choice. Hot in any case.
#13
I love this stuff.

Great find. H&R

A product that actually lives up to its description "restaurant quality rice" is exactly what this is and in 2 mins flat.

The Pilau one actually tastes better than the rice at all my local indian restaurants and take aways .....

Great product, can't praise it highly enough - I use about 3 a week and thought they were fair value at £1 a go but this deal is fantastic and I will be stocking up. ;-)
#15
It's bigger than the other brands, so a bargain at a quid a packet. I went there to Asda to stock up and was amazed when they came out at 50p a go.

Fill your boots!
#16
Starchy, sticky.... cheap. uncle bens is worth the money...
#17
I only like the Wild Rice version, but my local ASDA doesn't seem to stock it, only Waitrose.

Spot on. worth a quid a pack, so 50p each is a steal!

Great (p)rice!
#21
From the sounds of it this sounds delicious.

In the back of my mind though I keep thinking how absurd it seems to pay this much for rice. If the people in restaurants can produce rice as good as this, why can't we? The last rice I bought was less than £1 for a kilo when it was on offer.
#22
Fantastic deal. FANTASTIC!
#23
It's rice
#24
Just got back from my local ASDA (Stafford) and it's £1 a pack there!!!!

Grrrr must be only in some stores :x
#25
I've tried these before and confirm they taste great! Heat added!

I've put the packet really close to my ear, but I hear nothing.
#27
The Thai Jasmine rice is pretty good. And I agree with most said it is probably the best microwave rice about. Great at this price. Thanks:thumbsup:
#28
I got 2 of these on Sat from Asda but they were £1 each.
#29
You know you can get a whole bag of rice that will feed 10-12 people for less tha this if you LEARN TO COOK

You can save even more by cooking your own :), but for convenience and at 50p a shot, considereing I've got a gas leak so my hobs been turned off, I might just splash £10 and get a few.

Anyone care to name any Asda where this is 2 for £1? Its still £1 per pack at Asda Washington (on offer from £1.33)

Anyone else find that this is £1 a pack in local ASDA ?

Just interested as to why not in my store.
#33
Good choice of rice for anyone who is too lazy to cook rice themselves
#34
It was labelled as reduced to £1 each near me - I took it to the self-scan and lo and behold it was 2 for £1. Bought 24 packs :)
#35
that is a good deal thanks hot
#36
Hi

Can people please confirm if this is showing as £1 a pack and going through at 50p as my local Asda (Hounslow) has it priced at £1 a pack.

Much appreciated as my local Asda has stupid queue lengths
#37
Derby (Sinfin) : SEL says £1 in the normal place in the aisle, however there is a stack of them in another display at the end of the aisle with 2 for £1 on it. I can confirm that they go through as 2 for £1 through the till
#38
These were £1 each in my local asda.

I found them 2 for a £1 in Basingstoke Asda, so thanks Lawe ;-)

Showing as £1 per pack in Asda Bristol Cribbs - but scanning as 2 for £1 and showing on receipt.

Thanks
