All flavours except the peri peri were on offer at a low price of 76p in Tesco. I just bought a box. Simply the best micro-rice, I even prefer it to the real thing. Stock up as it doesnt drop below a pound too often!

Has been 98p in Asda for a while now.....but agree the best micro rice, I'm loathe to make rice when this is so cheap.

I love this rice, I don't bother ordering any from the chineese

Decent egg fried and pillau at Home Bargains 50p?
#10
excellent price, way better than the rest.

Uncle Ben's stuff is horrible, I remember when it first came out and it smelt like that smell ya get when you walk into a pet shop lol.

Tilda is good, but this stuff is awesome, ain't had it for ages!! So i'll have to stock up!

A word of warning! I picked up some of this in B&M last week to augment my dwindling supplies and when I got home, I realised that the B&M 'bargains' were only 200 grams compared to the others I already had which were 280 grams. If the Tesco deal is the 280 gram pack then this is indeed a bargain.

what is microrice?
#14
costco recently had this in at 60p a pack (my local budgens it is £2.15 a pack) and have to agree it is the best rice ever. And yes it was the 280gm packs
#15
This is definitely on the 280g packs, I myself bought some of the cheap ones from B&M and they were way too small (I like my rice). Its worth noting that these were 76p and not on a yellow offer label. Hopefully they'l remain at this price for a while!

Rice you cook in the microwave. Much more convenient.

I've been paying about £1.50 for these at Sainsburys - so i emptied the stock at Tesco.

how can 100g of rice for 76p be so hot (half the pack is water). £7.60 per kg! I pay £1 max per kg for proper basmati.

Takes the same time to cook as microwave rice too lol

Was thinking the same thing.
Is this 1 serving for 76p?
Seems pretty expensive even if it is quality stuff!

yeah - its 1 serving so a complete rip-off but ok for the ultra lazy people who live on their own I suppose ;)

i.e cant be bothered to wash up 1 rice cooker pan which takes all of 5 seconds
