I wasn't aware that Badshah was made by Veetee as well. I was referring to Veetee Supreme Basmati rice. I tried Badshah once and it wasn't great. Asda often sell Veetee supreme at a better price than Amazon. In addition, you can usually get Basmati rice cheaper from Indian / Asian Grocery stores. I accept that this is a very good price for Basmati rice.

The nearest one to me is 30-odd miles away and their cheapest is £28 for 20kg. A reason I never go to the Indian & Chinese 'trade' shops. Also, the largest bag of rice any of the 5 Asda stores within a 60 mile radius offer is 3kg for £7.99 so this is a great price. Last I bought was from Makro @ £23 for 20Kg but had to drive around 55 miles there and back so this is a great price for me.

I bet restaurants don't use any VT or Tilda. Its how you prepare it. Be lazy with it and even Tilda will taste rank. Use filtered water and steel cookware and love.
#17
I've used this a couple of times, very good for £1 per Kilo, nice flavour and texture.
#18
2x kohinoor deal is better...
imo... better quality.
badshah is ok, not great.
tilda is overrated
#19
This rice is produce of Pakistan. Vry good rice for the price imo. I regularly get this from my local Tesco express. Btw the best pakistani basmati rice is white pearl, but for that you have to pay similar price as Tilda.
Realistically, this is much better than salaam, laila, apna brands of rice.

Very good price.

If I know someone with a Makro card, does it mean I don't have to pay VAT or does it mean that my friend the card holder can claim back the VAT back at the end of the financial year, whilst I pay thel price including VAT at the till?

ASDA are now selling Badshah Basmati Rice (10Kg) for £11 as well. If you intend going it might be worth checking if they have any in stock in your local store.
