This sounds like an excellent deal. Does anyone have any experience of using this brand of SD card?

I just tried to order one, but noticed the price went up to £25.73 when I put in my address.

I live on the Isle of Wight, but none of the main couriers actually charge any more for delivery over here, and for a memory card, it's a bit of a rip off :(

Thanks guys :)

Just a warning, one on of the major online companies, the reviewers were saying that the 133x is rubbish and a x50 other brand were beating it on speed. I'll post the link when I find it. I looked into buying the Veho brand before xmas but was put off by the reviews. Saying the, the Ebuyer reviews mostly seem ok.

All I can say is that I have one of the £11.99 2GB bog-standard cards and two of the 1GB cards for a DSLR, a Digi Ixus and a TomTom, all from 7DayShop. I also have a 1GB Sandisk Ultra SD, and I really can't notice a major difference in the "speed" of the cards at all - all a marketing ploy I recon!
#15
The speed only really matters in high Mega-pixel cameras, video capture devices and devices like the Gameboy Advance SuperCards (certain games need max speed to work properly). Agreed though, I have a few brands and in most things, you dont notice the speed difference. :)

One of the eBuyer comments has this to say...

"The 133x cards work in a “double speed” mode available in version 1.1 of the SD specification. Chances are that if your camera is not brand-new you won't be able to take advantage of the full speed of these cards and will be "downgraded" to a maximum of 66x or lower...that DOES NOT mean that the cards aren't true 133x capable - so please take these domestic "tests" displayed below with great care!!"

could get it posted to someone you know on the mainland, then they can post it to you and it would only cost the 30 odd pence

The speed checks they ran were reading and writing small and large files onto a PC via a SD card reader. Pretty sure that would use the "double speed".

Does not really matter, its a good price. Infact, I'd love someone to post what they think of them after they've arrived.

The speeds are not noticeable to you the human but are to the device...
