Does anyone have this? I'm caught between buying this or the sandisk 1gb mp3 player :(
Any reviews of this? Can't find much online.
No indication of battery life !!!
Its recharged from a USB socket ( no charger is included).
Some of these cheap players have pitiful battery life ( under 4 hours). It does claim" Ultra-low power consumption using latest generation micro-controller chip " , so hopefully its not that low.
Just been conned buying a similar one on Ebay claimed to be and at first glance appears to be 4GB but is actually only 1GB. Not saying this is the same but very very similar.

Strangely enough I was considering this player yesterday. The specs are virtually identical to a myriad of 4Gb iPod clone players for sale on Ebay. The modes of playing seem to be limited and the battery life is reported at about 8 hours. The same player is for sale at for over £70 which attracted me to the Ebuyer one. I'd rather buy from Ebuyer than Ebay - but I think I may go for the 2Gb sansa player from Amazon. At least if that goes wrong then Amazon are great with customer service - and I really would like one that runs off normal batteries.
Veho are a reputable company. Player uses 2x Samsung 2GB chipset. Larger range available here:

they got me too :-(
Veho 4GB player is from a reputed site. If the specifications are different from the advertised one, you can always return 'free of charge'.

My advice is don't buy anything like this direct from HK or China. Nearly all of it will be fake, even stuff that appear 100% accurate is likely to be a copy - there are literally 1000s of factories churning out copies of everything from Golf clubs to Nikon SLRs and lenses, all duplicated down to the finest visible detail. It's the underlying quality that will be lacking.
I've done a lot of work with the Department of Trade & Industry and attended seminars on doing business with China. One of the famous stories doing the rounds is how the head of Chrysler Jeep was touring China looking for the location of a new factory and was amazed at how many Jeep Cherokees he saw on the road as he did the rounds, especially as the model had never been officialy sold in China. After further investigation he found an illegal factory had managed to churn out 10,000 cars. Fake from the ground up - identical in nearly every component, but made of highly inferior Chinese steel - basically you wouldn't want to crash one.
:whistling: 8 hour battery life:whistling:
Did anyone buy one of these from Ebuyer? There are now some reviews on Ebuyer and they are all favourable - though not very detailed.

I am almost tempted as they are on Scans 'Today Only' page (i.e. until about 12 noon on Thursday) for £33.49 + delivery

This probably isn't any cheaper than Ebuyer - but for people such as myself who live nearby and can pick one up or those who have the free delivery offer from Scan it could be a better deal.
No takers then? Would really appreciate any info on the battery life.
I've one waiting for me at Scan...but probably won't be collecting it until next week. I imagine that Ebuyer will have more reviews by then. If not I'll report back.... but I expect the battery life to be 8 hours as mentioned above (as the specs are identical to the Ebay versions). However, you could ring Veho direct and ask them ..
