Does anyone know how long the battery lasts?
or whether you can buy a spare battery?, i see it's an NP60 battery but looking at google you can get different types.

The battery is very good. Hasn't ran out on me yet or even gone down to one bar whilst I'm out :)

good to know
thank you
Tiny device only matter of time before being integrated into mobile phone. Is the picture quality spectacular on playback?
I bought a smilar model to this (the Sanyo HD700) and I sold it straig away on ebay, it wasn't that great a product.
Without using this one i'd guess that it's fine for general use or you tube videos (the kind of stuff you'd use your phones camera on.)

My main problem with cameras like this is the lens is not wide enough, you need to be a good distance from your subject to manage to fit them in, not much good for filming around the home then if you have limited space.

£99 though, isn't bad if your just after something to play about with or take on nights out.
Wonder how this compares? £30 more but a Sony - one youtube vid said its got 16gb internal memory, but looks like the uk one doesn't.

Heres another vid for your post. Quite impressive.
and a review - odd guy but very informative lol.
Brilliant info - thanks to you both for posting videos to video taken. Very impressive for a video camera recording in HD at £99!

The only thing stopping me buying this is the still picture at only 5mp - but that's being VERY picky.

The photo feature isn't the best anyways. The flash doesn't work like a normal camera so you get quite blurry images. It's only good for photos if you have it on a tripod really :)

Thanks  Do you know of any HD cams which do both (but have higher still picture - maybe 8mp)?
I looked into getting this but opted for the Sanyo Xacti HD CG-10 in the end as you can manually adjust the settings for camera (which is 10mp) and video, so you can get fab low light footage rather than grainy it's still crisp, although it's only 720p rather than 1080, which I'm not really bothered about.

I also got a Gorillapod, it's an excellent tripod, as you do need to be really still when taking photos when you've used zoom (or maybe I just have really bad shakes :))

Thanks  Do you know of any HD cams which do both (but have higher still picture - maybe 8mp)?
Thanks :)
Real spec's? It is 5x optical zoom, and who cares what the digital zoom is? it's a gimmick feature on every camera anyways.
The fact of the matter is, digital zoom is exactly the same as companies labeling ridiculous contrast ratios on their monitors/TV's - there's no industry 'standard' so they all just tend to go by their own measurements & calculations

yes i know it 5x but thats not what was there before you edited it.
you copy/pasted amazons meaningless 20x optical/digital (btw you forgot to edit that out in the OP description)
no need to lecture me on the zoom either thanks
