Perhaps not important to some, but note it has no cable management system to hide all the cables/interconnects.

Price is good but I would rather pay a little more and have all the wires hidden from view.

Great value even with the delivery charge.

this is a great price for the stand

if anyone has bought it already, are you able to confirm the height of each of the shelves? My current stand cant sit the amp on one of the inner shelves...so looking for a replacement. My amp's height is 158mm, but probably need about 165mm for clearance.

Just a word of warning - not about the product but CLEAR glass shelves - I had a similar unit with clear glass shelves but now have a unit that has Black shelves - The reason ? Clear glass = transparent and no matter how you try to make the spagetti behind tidy, you can still see it and the plugs / sockets etc - With a predominantly black one - Hides the spagetti !! ( mine does anyway ) .
Not dissing the product or OP as I have voted hot - I paid almost 5x for my clear unit !!
Just a thought.

my silly brother paid £60 for one yesterday @ the local shop & only told me after he bought it.

It's actually Frosted glass, or that's what it says in the item description anyhow.. Also does look frosted in the pic, or at least the top one does...

Good price. I paid double for a stand half the size.

I have 2 of these and the glas is incredibly thick. Never seen (or lifted) anything like it for a consumer unit. The fittings are of lesser quality for sure but everything still goes together very well and it won't wobble, budge or shake like most of the stands out there. You don't need a massive TV to buy this because it's an entire entertainment holding unit -not many people will ever need more than this.

Cable management? Buy some cable ties for the love of gawd!

This stand's been around for years at this price.

My comment re cable management didn't mean cable ties. I have a Sky+HD box, DVD player, Blu-Ray player, AV Receiver and Xbox 360 under my TV and cable ties just wouldn't suffice or indeed hide the multitude of cables needed..

I would assume if you just have a Sky box or something else under the TV you wouldn't be wanting an AV unit as large as this one anyway.

It's coming up £44.33 including delivery.
What am I doing wrong?

Just get a vertical plank of wood and paint it the same colour the wall is and fix it to the unit and feed the cables behind there. That's the best cable management system as it's well hid, nothing get's stuck and runs naturally like errr... cables should.

Same trick with mounting (I beg your pardon) plasmas and other stuff like this. Just hid it behind paint.

I have an AV, PS3, CD, cable box and centre speaker on the shelving unit similar to this under my tv. There is a Wii, a DVD and an HDMI switching unit on the floor underneath. You can't see a single cable either as they are all at the back of the shelving unit and covered by the components.
Wouldn't it be the same for you too?

Don't hide the cables glory in their loveliness.... any one seen ant good deals for audiophile stands? Not dissing this, I have similar but looking for something with isolation etc to make the most of my kit
#23
Just ordered as well, it's quite similar to my current one, but crucially this one has a big enough height for my AV amp to go in to. So the living room TV area should be a little bit neater! Thanks.

I'm with you there, never touch mine because if you do with those nasty stands with a 'hole' you are liable to damage connections (everything's far too restrained and/or you have to buy longer cables).

Different though for plasma TVs and things you need tight up against a surface.

I have 2 of these stands and on both of them I put my amp on the top and then the TV on that. I like the height and it gives you loads more space too for accessing the TV.
