Seems a good price for a tripod with good reviews. Around £80 elsewhere. Can be reserved online for store collection but not available for delivery

A medium weight tripod with 3 section legs which allow it to extend. It features a sliding centre column which is removable so that it can be inverted, making a more versatile tripod.

A choice of 3 leg angles allowing the tripod to be operated at all heights with maximum stability and giving low level capabilities.

Other features include a splitable centre column to allow near ground level operation and PH-157Q 3 way panhead with Velbon's quick release system and one touch locking of pan and tilt actions.

None in Exeter - shame - but heat added!

i have received a confirmation email aswell, but no where in the email has the model number been specified.
#10
I used the JESSOPS5 voucher code too to get it for a bit less.
I would really like to know the model number though - my email doesn't say either.
#11
Thanks for this post
Just ordered one - on the Jessops website if you hover the mouse over the smaller picture it shows Sherpa 600 in the description.

JESSOPS5 code reduced price to £27.55
#12
quidco also £0.93
#13
i have just collected my order and can confirm that the model number is 450R.
#14
Stock at all stores around Edinburgh. Don't need one myself but have ordered for a friend. Hot deal!
#15
Thanks OP.
Just pick mine up, they've given me the 750R, but no complains.

Doubt Quidco/Topcashback will pay out as the transaction isn't online.

Thanks OP. Picked mine up earlier today and got the Velbon Sherpa 600R. Nice bit of kit.

I've been looking for a Tripod for a reasonable price for a couple of weeks now. This one takes the biscuit. I'd heard in the past that although standard prices for things at Jessops are above average but whenever they do an offer they're absolute steals. Great timing for me, ordered!

#24
Available at Basingstoke store, Cheers pal!
#25
Standard. Just received the 450R plus bag, very happy.

All the above models seem pretty similar, have just been checking the Velbon site. Semi-professional apparently.

How do you check a store's stock on the website?

Just go through the purchase process, but before confirmation of you order it will ask you for your post code to check stock in your local store.
#28
I've reserved one in brighton hope i get the 750r, cheers op

Got the 450R with a bag with the voucher for £27 and a bit. Cheapest online price I can see for this tripod is £60 so this is an absolute steal. Cheapest for 750r online seems to be around £80 so the folks getting that one are getting an amazing deal.
#30
You should get a 600R as that is the one that matches the description on the website. That's what I got at the Moorgate branch.

I did think that there was a discrepancy between the item description and the item I unpacked last night. Not that bothered at this price but might fire off an email to Jessop's customer service to see what they say.

Edit - Email sent asking if they will swap the 450R for a 600R. Worth a go as the RRP stated on their website for this item is higher than the RRP for the 450R. Not holding out much hope though as it looks like they are clearing old stock to me, hence people are just getting whatever model stores have left.

Just picked up mine (600R), the guy was very surprised at the price (£27.55), he reckoned they were £120 not so very long ago :)
#34
Do they come with quick release plates?

I got a 450R from the Nottingham store.

Which stores did everyone else get their 750R from?
#39
Managed to swap my 450R for a 750R instore.

You just have to call up to see which store has the model you want.

They told me to contact the store that I purchased from. To go to another store that had the 750r in stock would mean Leicester or Coventry, a good 20 mile + round trip to either plus parking and didn't have the time. At the price even the 450r is a bargain so not too fussed. Worth trying it though if you have other stores nearby.
